Good evening guys... A happy new month and a prosperous new year to us all...

I've always fancied my chances of getting a scholarship for my Masters degree abroad.. most especially if you graduated with a 2:1 which I thought would give one an edge during the process... as fate would have it reverse is the case... my question now is...

1. What are the chances of someone who graduated with 2:2 in securing any scholarship to study abroad

2. If one would apply for any using a B.Sc certificate.. is it still necessary to go for TOEFL/IELTS or whatever again?

3. The scholarship stuff.. especially the fully funded ones.. cuz that's the one I'm really looking forward to.. how do one really go about it??

Sincere and serious advice please... so we can know where to start from
Thank you

Good morning.
First of all, I'd be lying to you if I told you that having a 2:2 does not reduce your chances of getting a scholarship to study abroad. But it's impossible to find schools that will admit you.

For the TOEFL/IELTS, it's almost certain that one will have to sit for —and pass— the test to be eligible, especially if you're applying to UK, US and Canada. TOEFL/IELTS may not be a requirement if you're applying for a STEM course.

My advice is that you embark on a broad research to find out about schools that offer scholarships for a 2:2 grad. Your options are few and far between. But it's worth a shot. All the best!
