Most of you guys here believe that Nigeria will change for the better in the near future, but no one has been able to say how the change will take effect or what will bring about the change. You guys base your hopes on electing a viable president who will take Nigeria to the promised height. But don't you guys think electing the messiah president is only a partial short term solution? For instance you guys consider Pat Utomi as someone sane enough to steer Nigeria. If he is given the mandate how sure are we that the 90% selfish and corrupt political office holders spread across the senate, house of reps and beyond will allow him make some tough critical decisions which may not benefit them? Even if he succeeds in making some tough decisions, it is likely that his successor may return the situation to business as usual. This shows that the best answer to move this country forward is to press the RESET button and restructure the system of Nigeria's government to introduce a stricter check and balance in the system. Nothing will ever move with the current system of things. It's really beyond conducting a free and fair election. Nigeria copied America's system of government rather than fashioning out her own system to suit the nature of the Nigerian people. Besides I wonder why Nigeria didn't copy the part that prevents the American politicans from having free acess to public funds. I don't see Nigeria pressing the RESET button anytime soon, therefore it appears Nigeria will be doomed till probably an asteroid from space puts a total end to everything. Do you disagree?

Nigeria is doomed until we get a non compromising president

i always reason that developed countries may have passed through what nigeria is passing through only that their colonial masters didn't pen them down due to some classified reasons. Nigeria's major problem is jumbo pay to political office holders and THE ELECTORATES especially because they fail to effect RECALL PROCESS to non performing officers.
