Good day fellow Nairalander.Why is Toyota Avalon less popular than Corolla/Camry? I need to be open that what informed my question is need for me to get a good Toyota car that falls within 2003 and 2006/ a budget of 1.1m to 1.3m. It has to be Tokunbo and preferrably automatic. I found out good Toyota car with nice interiors I find are mostly Toyota Avalon. Is there any issue with Avalon and why it is not common like Corolla and Camry of the same age? Am critical of this because common vehicle suggests available auto technicians(mechanics) who have good knowledge of such vehicle. Gurus in the house should contribute and anybody that has used Avalon should please contribute. I don't want marketers because I won't be ready till end of first quarter of 2020. I just want to consider all options before time. Thanks as I await your contributions

Avalon was made in the quality of Lexus.



No i4 option I think is the reason it is not so common. Just my option though.

It doesn't have seconds hand value

My brother you see that car called avalon, run for your life ooo my man... Jakpa! That car na big man car. If you are a small business owner or small salary earner, that car would make you unable to save.

It will end in tears ooo go buy Ghana corolla, if you must buy a Toyota with the budget you have

The same reason Gold Circle is more popular than Durex.

Brand/model relatability.

I used a 2001 model in 2008/2009 and I can assure you that I enjoyed it to the full before I sold it to buy a Tundra which I needed for my farming.

I wondered too why it was not common and I asked people I knew had it before buying.

Parts, though available, may not be as common as your regular Camry and Corolla but I can bet that if you maintain your car well, you won’t need to visit Mechanics.

As you have observed, the interior is more beautiful than Corolla and Camry. That was what attracted me to it too because I wanted to buy Camry of same year but I fell in love with the interior.

It’s a mid luxury vehicle originally for the US market.

If you want it, get it my brother and go for a good one.

Because not so many people are used to it, you may not readily have a buyer when you decide to sell. But again, that should not be the defining criteria because there is still a chance that you will sell it.
