What if you're not a Christian? What if you belong to a different denomination of Christianity that believes different things?
If you want to preach to people, hold crusades and invite people to attend. Or you can approach people and request to speak with them (like Jehovah's Witnesses do) and if they acquiesce, then you can share what you wish with them. Don't invade people's private or public spaces without their consent to start shoving your "word" down their throats. It's a very bad, very uncivilized behavior that Nigerian Christians - especially Pentecostals - have.

I still don't see going to people's homes and sharing your faith with them as an invasion of privacy. Having a nice stable setting with the hearer would breed a suitable environment for a decent conversation. You don't get that in a setting where people do not have the time to sit and discuss (of course, that cannot be entirely discouraged). Some people have things they battle with and they don't know how to share it or who to share it with. Visiting people in their homes and sharing the gospel with them can enable them share their problems and get the necessary solutions they need (which are included in the gospels). If you don't reach out to these people, how would they share their problems? This is one of the reasons people die in silence. How would you invite people to a crusade if you don't give them an insight of what they're getting involved with? This is what sharing the gospel basically entails, it's not being shoved down people's throats. It's unfortunate that people do it the wrong way.

You should know the classroom was noisy, as typical for students waiting for lecturers to come, and all she did was ask for decorum and stated she wanted to share the gospel with the class.

Since the feedback was negative, she should respect people's space and either distribute printed material or get to know people one on one next time.

Thank u for this noble observation. U see why Jesus said that wisdom is recognized by it's children (fruits/works)? U can see that using that approach to preach is completely devoid of wisdom or proper reasoning.

You seem to have misunderstood what I said. I was saying that it is okay to ask people if you can share the word with them - whether in their homes or wherever. But don't barge into people's personal space to blare your message without their consent. This morning, one of those Lord's Chosen idioots with a speaker stood in my estate close beside my gate making noise by 6:00 am. If I had the energy to get out of bed and unlock my door and gate to get outside, I would have given her a piece of my mind about her stupidity. Nigerians are just uncultured barbarians!

This is Nigeria, not China or Mongolia. Like 99% of us are familiar with Christianity and Islam, the Abrahamic religions. There is not much in the way of insight you're delivering to most people. And even if you want to deliver such, you can use flyers and posters and billboards. You don't have to constitute a nuisance in the name of evangelism. In many civilized countries, what many of you Pentecostals do here in Nigeria is illegal. But you shouldn't need laws to know that it is inappropriate to enter a bus and other public arenas to shove your "word" down people's throats whether they are inclined to hear you or not. Sometimes, I wish Muslims behaved the way Nigerian Christians do, so you can understand just how irritating it is to preach to people who don't want to listen to your preaching.

I already said what was wrong..... Free Period or not.... they are in the classroom.... should they leave if they don't want to hear? If you want a change, a real and comprehensive and lasting change, go to God and with a broken and contrite heart, confess every sin you remember committing, promise Him that you won't go back to them again and hold on in prayer until He lifts the burden and fills you with joy and peace. This is the born-again experience. It is not a prayer someone else will pray for you. You can have access with God and you will quit struggling to do what is right. You won't struggle not to smoke cos God will take away even the desire to smoke or drink

Jesus died for us so that when we sin and feel guilty of our sins. we can turn back to him and ask him forgiveness of our sins with all our heart he will clean our iniquity and us a new life that will make to afraid of sin.
