Honestly I don't get why a guy and a lady in relationship should have anytin like privacy talkless of married couples. To me, my GF should be able to access my phone and I can do likewise.
I don't support all these shits of respect your partners privacy on top phone matter...
Privacy will die ni... Even some way married people should respect their partners privacy, is privacy sick??

What if a lady is cheating with several men or a man is cheating with several women and he/ she infects the partner with an incurable disease.. I swear down, I can't do any privacy shit with my GF if I get one ooo.

God knows I can't stop being tempted to check my partner phone Cox my phone will be available to her. I can't let any lady ruin my life oo.

Nairalanders, what's your view on respecting your partners privacy?

There should be normal privacy like not picking each other's calls... But any relationship where too much privacy is being allowed or tolerated is one in which both partners are guilty of infidelity.

I can't imagine planning to marry someone and I can't even trust her with my phone and vice versa. To me the first sign of crookedness is when a person passwords the phone or changes the password constantly.

Automatic red alert...

the minute a person gets married, they CANNOT talk any longer about privacy (if they do then they certainly shouldnt be married)... in a r/ship it is a bit different as it all has to do with the type of r/ship they are in.

Members of organizations like the DSS, NIA, CID and their International counterparts can never have their privacy compromised.

I didn't realise privacy was a commodity. Some people have it and some don't.

Once you both access each other's phone freely then you have built that trust and there's little or no room for doubt!

But when you pick his\her phone and he/she goes rogue, run for your life!!!

It's not worth spending the rest of your life with someone like that!!!

We know, but we all do not belong to these agencies...at least, a larger percentage of us

IF AFTER MONTHS YOU'VE NOT REACHED THE STAGE WHERE YOU TRUST EACH OTHER WITH EACH OTHER'S PHONES, YOU'RE SIMPLY WASTING YOUR TIME.

brah!!! I wont lie the OP is right.

These days, trust that partner at your peril. I’m not saying you shouldn’t trust, but always look out for loopholes. It’s like saying “drink but don’t get drunk. Things are happening.

I agree, unless you are secret service or military intelligence, there is nothing like privacy to your partner, his phone should be opened to you and vice versa. No secrets, no privacy. Well.... Unless both of you are deceiving one another. Don't give room to doubt, if you have nothing to hide, be open.

embarassed

What you don't know doesn't kill you.

It is all hogwash. All those people that likes leaving their phone are the worst form of cheat and hypocrite. They would have deleted, archived and changed names that you won't even think they are cheating with those people.

We have been there and we have done it before tongue

I remembered then when I was dating one guy like that, whenever his phone rang with a particular male name, he would quickly excuse himself saying the person is waiting for him, naive me didn't even get to know, he told me himself

You are missing the bigger picture here.

With this mindset, what you should be asking yourself is Why should you be in a relationship with someone you don't trust?

I always give my girlfriend my phone and I don't check hers.

I don't trust her 80% but I respect people's privacy a lot

It always baffles me whenever I hear people talk about privacy in relationships. If I can't use your phone whenever I want then I don't trust you and there's no point being with you

I believe privacy should be respected. Do onto others what you want others to do onto you.
