Why You Should Be A Storyteller by Andres9: 2:17am On Jan 07, 2020
Have you ever heard a sad story and became moody afterwards or read an inspirational story and became motivated afterwards?

THAT'S HOW POWERFUL STORIES ARE!

Stories can alter one's mood, change one's perception about a subject, and influence one to take an action.

Why should you learn how to tell stories?

PEOPLE LOVE STORIES
Yes! People love to be told stories - whether written or oral - especially on popular issues. That's why a lot of people spend most of their time on Facebook & Instagram; that's why people read novels & watch movies. To understand storytelling is to understand how to win people's attention and grow your influence.

STORYTELLERS ARE BETTER MARKETERS
Do you see those guys who sell stuff in buses? Before they introduce their products, the first thing they do is to tell you a story. That way, they are able to get your attention. As a brand, you want people to connect with you both, emotionally and commercially... stories help trigger emotions almost instantly. A business, be it small or big, needs customers. In order to catch the attention of its audience and potential customers, it needs to tell its own story and it needs to do it as best as possible. If you are an entrepreneur, storytelling is one skill you must possess.

*STORYTELLERS ARE BETTER WRITERS
Writers who do stories are usually more gifted with words than writers who do other forms of writing. Story writing, unlike most other forms of writing, employs a lot of literary techniques. An understanding of how to infuse interesting stories into whatever form of writing you do, will ultimately make your style of writing unique, and help captivate the interest of your readers.

STORYTELLERS ARE BETTER TEACHERS/INFLUENCERS
In every class, 40% of the students are predominantly visual learners who learn best from what they can see. Another 40% are auditory, learning best through lectures and discussions. The remaining 20% are kinesthetic learners, who learn best by doing or experiencing. Storytelling has aspects that work for all 3 types. Visual learners appreciate the mental pictures storytelling evokes, auditory learners focus on words and the storyteller's voice, while kinesthetic learners remember the emotional connections from the story. An understanding of storytelling is an understanding of how to position yourself as an influencer and extend value to a wider sphere of people.

The benefits of learning storytelling are infinite...

Because I have been in the business of creating stories, and because I love imparting value, I will be sharing knowledge on *The Art of Storytelling* in a two day Whatsapp class.

What will you learn in this class?

- The importance of storytelling
- Basic grammar in writing stories
- How to write advert content
- How to market products/services and make sales using stories
- How to create flashfiction stories

Plus, you will get free e-books on storytelling, advertising/marketing, personal finance and flashfiction.

The class is priced at N1999 only (which is actually peanuts, compared to what you'll learn in the class + the value of the free e-books), but because I want more people to have access to the class, I'll be giving a price slash for the first 20 persons, who'll pay just N1,499.

Trust me, this is a total giveaway.

Don't miss this opportunity to increase your influence and earn bigger this year, 2020.
