Nigeria's number two citizen needs no introduction across the globe, most especially back home in the most populous black nation. This could be traced to his successful career in both legal practice and academics, giving him a seamless ride in politics. Osinbajo, so calm and humble has successfully bought into the people's hearts, giving him credence as the most instrumental Deputy to his boss's success.

Prof. Yemi Osinbajo SAN, was the guest of the people and the government of Kano state when on a one day official visit, where he was expected to commission several projects as well as lay foundation stone for others, courtesy of the Kano State Government.

Speaking, the Vice President Said: "President Muhammadu Buhari is very committed to infrastructure and this is why I am very pleased that Governor Ganduje is doing the same.

"We believe that No country can truly be developed without infrastructure; roads, bridges, railways and water ways. I am very happy to see that there is so much evidence of purpose going on in Kano".

Osinbajo's statement did not just reflect his commitment to the success of Buhari's administration, but it further reaffirmed his loyalty to the Nigerian People and his love for development of the nation.

His official outing to Kano state is coming after he may have rested during the holiday after a very tight schedule making him, arguably the busiest deputy in the world 2012.

Before the visit to Kano, the Professor has attended a wedding of the former EFCC boss, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu and he also paid glowing tributes to Nigeria’s Armed Forces at the memorial service in appreciation of men and women who have put down their lives to serve Nigeria in commemoration of the armed forces day celebration.

Aside the commissioning, foundation stone laying of foundations and visitation to the cultural site of the state, another great achievement of the Vice-President was the unique reuniting of the Governor of Kano State and the Emir of Kano.

For a while now, both institutions were believed to be at loggerheads, and of course the senior learned silk was able to bring the two notable figures together under the same root.

Speaking, the Emir thanked Osinbajo for his frequent visit to the state, saying this has shown how important Kano state is to the federal government.

“He is always welcome in Kano,” Sanusi said about Osinbajo while speaking with newsmen.

Meanwhile, Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State, also commended the vice president for honouring the state with his presence at the occasion.

Ganduje added that the people of Kano deserve such development projects.

Like a son that is loved home and abroad, adopted by all, the Star Boy, as nicked named by his die hard supporters also showed gratitude the the Government and the people of Kano State.

In response, the VP said: "I will like to again say how very excited I am to be here today, very proud to be considered a citizen of Kano State, and I want to commend your royal highness for keeping peace within the kingdom and for your various useful interventions, not just in the state but also in the country".

Another highlight of the event was the beautiful display by the children who welcomed the Vice President at the museum.

There were songs dances and recited poems and guess what?

The VP said: "I think you all sing very well, when next I come I will sing for you too".

His wilde popularity in the north is not contestable due to his charisma and genuinely interested in the overall development of Nigeria,so with no fewer than thousands of people trooping out to give him a sounding applaud for as the best VP ever Nigeria could have in his one day working visit to the people and government in the acient city of Kano.

The VP is a hard-working and a dedicated person, reason he's being loved by all. More grace to our amiable VP.
