If anybody had told you a few years ago that smartphones would be tools for effective branding and wealth creation, I bet you would have debunked the thought. In 2016 about 62.9 percent of the world's population already had mobile phones and over 80 percent used their phones for texts and calls only. The number of mobile phone users was estimated to cross the 5 billion mark by the end of 2019; with a projection of steady growth in the coming years and with the introduction of new and smarter devices, it becomes imperative for users to learn to make money using their smart phones.

The world as we know it, is getting more advanced by the day as technology is greatly improving and transforming lives. Several decades ago, the world experienced the emergence of computers, which was a big break to technological advancement. With the mainframe computers, we had a lot to boast about. Today (several decades later), technology has so much advanced that the computers are now in our hands.

Smartphones are portable digital devices with which communication and work is made easier and faster. However, smartphone users in this part of the world have to a large extent tapped into the communication features of their smartphones, leaving other aspects behind.

Smartphone were not just made for users to send/receive calls and text messages. More can be achieved with it. Come to think of it, have you ever wondered why the smartphone production companies come up with newer versions of their products which are sleeker and more user friendly? The answer lies in the various functions which manufacturers envisage users to tap into. Despite this obvious fact, we still have smartphone users that are under-utilizing their smart devices; spending endlessly on data subscriptions and calls just to keep abreast with trends. The question is: "WHAT VALUE HAVE YOU CONSCIOUSLY ATTAINED USING YOUR SMARTPHONE?"

Is your smartphone an asset or liability?

Let's focus on the positives for a second shall we?

The benefits of being mobile savvy cannot be overemphasized. Apart from the fact that you can earn money by using your smartphone to carry out any of the processes above, it also affords you:

1. Speed in the execution of tasks: A couple of months ago, I was saddled with the responsibility of creating e-content for a particular reputable organization in Nigeria. I executed the task with my smartphone on the go and I got lots of commendation from the entire team I worked for, most persons referred me to other people as they commented that my speed was "out of this world". With your smartphone, you can achieve tremendous speed in the execution of tasks. It's not called a mobile device for nothing. You can take it anywhere and execute tasks easy, beat time and deliver on time on any task you set out for.

2. Convenience: The reason why a lot of people procrastinate their tasks is because of how monotonous take execution has been for them. Lots of persons believe tha serious tasks like Graphics design, Video editing and th likes can only be executed using Computers but the demystification of this myth lies in the fact that smartphones are also convenient for getting work done.

These points about are just but a few to consider while thinking of being mobile savvy. Speed and convenience will aid you as you work to land more paying clients.
