Warmer temperatures almost always mean you will be going out more often and it is a given that your phone(s) will be your number one companion.

While we stay careful enough to take precautions against sun damage on our skin when out in the heat, ensure you protect your phone as well to avoid overheating. In order to avoid this, make do with this tips enlisted below:

Avoid direct sunlight on your phone. The easiest way to prevent overheating is to keep your phone out of the sun. Your phone catches heat from the sun and retains it, getting hotter the longer it remains in sunlight and heat.

Put unused apps to sleep. Unused apps running in the background cause your phone to work harder, which in turn causes it to heat up. The solution is super simple – on an iPhone, for example, all you have to do is press your home button twice and swipe the apps away. This will also increase your phone’s battery life.

Avoid increasing your screen brightness. Just the same as running background apps, turning your brightness up will force your battery to work harder and create more heat. Instead, look for an anti-glare cover for your device. This low-cost solution can help you see your screen in the sun.

Switch to airplane mode. Airplane mode allows you to continue to use basic functions on your phone but turns off other non-essentials that can take a toll on your battery and phone in general.

Take your case off. If your phone is overheating, your case isn’t helping. Taking the case off will allow the phone’s heat vents to do their job fully without being blocked while allowing your phone to cool down quicker.

The main culprit of overheating is the central processing unit of a particular phone. Some faulty resistors, capacitors, inappropriate apps can also cause overheating

In most cases the processing unit creates most heat on a device...

In most systems, the processor can have a great impact on its heating rate.

Though in some special cases, a specific default in the system hardware may highly affect its heating tendencies...

All manufactured device have a heating level.
The more expensive the device the better it's output in terms of heating.

This is also a market strategy for manufacturers.

Well the latest flagship hardly thermal throttle ...
Because they are made with thinner proc....Smaller resistors
I wonder why there isnt a button on android to just shut down all background services and focus on the one the user opened

Gadgets manufactured by tech companies all over the world have downsides most of the times.
This companies are aware of this,so they use it to their own gain.
How?
Well buy making the prices of highly efficient products have a higher cost of purchasing them, while the one's of a lower standard for less and mostly affordable.

You can see this in the phones industry,as iPhones are relatively high in price based on their features, compared to devices of low efficiency.
