Blackstone Capital limited is a scam. Please don't fall victim. They almost dupe me of 540,000 to fund my account for 18m. If not that I was smart to send someone to visit the address.

There was no such address. If u doubt me go to the location to inquire of their presence.

If you call them, they will even tell you that they are now working online or they are renovating their office. Please don't be a victim.

What surprised me most is that they can create fake bank account to more than 4 bank in Nigeria with your name and account number.

No wonder it took them more than a week to create the account.

This mean that they can create and fund the account but the funding is fake. This guys are crook.

This are their numbers and names given to me and a screenshot of the account the created.

I am a staff of Blackstone Capital Limited which is a duly registered company under the law of the Federal republic of Nigeria and we are not and have never been associated with fraudulent organizations or individuals.

As a staff of the company, it is my duty / responsibility to change this erroneous impression of my company that has been created.

Good evening Nairalanders,
First, I like to state that I have been a staff of Blackstone since 2019 and I must say that all the claims of this purported customer is false and I would provide clarification on each of his allegations and invite anyone interested to check the facts. Whilst there may be a few fraudulent entities out there, it is sad that a Nigerian would falsely malign a company that is supporting small businesses and households, including students (including those studying abroad). Whilst the Management of the company would take legal actions against this individual, who has for whatever reason he may have, decided to dent the reputation of the company, I believe it is important to set the records straight in my own little way on this platform.
The purported customer claims that he sent someone to Blackstone Office and does not exist. Blackstone started operation at 1B Rock Drive, Lekki Phase 1 and earlier this year moved to 28a Abayomi Shonuga Street, Lekki Phase 1, following its growth. The purported customer claimed to have sent someone to visit the office and his acclaimed person claimed he could not locate the office, which welcomes tens of clients everyday. Clients are welcome to visit the office anytime within business hours on a workday. Even as Management adopted work-from-home protocol in response to COVID-19 and still allows staff to work remotely based on scheduled arrangements, our office has been opened to welcome customers physically since April 2022.
The client claimed it takes a week to create a bank account and we create accounts across four banks. This reveals the questionable character of the purported customer. As a practice, we require that our customers have accounts with any of our bankers, as a part of the process of enhancing our Know Your Customer due diligence and also to enhance our credit risk management process. Whilst we work with the customer to ensure relevant documentations are in place as quickly as possible, we do not have control over banks’ process of opening accounts for new customers, who do not have accounts with them. That said, our bankers have demonstrated ability to open accounts for new customers within 24 – 48 hours, and this purported customer’s claim of a week, just reinforces his likely questionable character, as such delay may only be explained by his inability to provide relevant basic documentation for opening account with a bank.

Blackstone has supported several small businesses and households, including students studying abroad, through its innovative offerings. The number presented by the purported customers are numbers of relationship managers from one of our bankers and anyone can speak to the bankers. The company is led by a team of professionals, with impeccable character and has a strong Board of Directors, which provides oversight on the operations and broader management of the company.
As much as I would advise people to be cautious of fraudulent entities, we should also exercise restraint in being deceived with people of questionable character, who for different personal interests, best known to them, may seek to mislead the public and malign innocent businesses, doing genuine businesses, supporting Nigerians through the current economic challenges, and creating jobs for teeming hardworking youths like me.

This is definitely a malicious story on Blackstone Capital and I would urge the Management of the firm to take legal actions against this person of questionable character.

I have accessed loan from this organisation in the past and I have referred a friend, who also had a great experience with them. The firm provided support when I needed it the most and I am must say their fees were competitively better, compared to loan sharks, who charge 6% or more per month to lend you money. Their process is transparent and except you have something to hide, you can meet their requirements because they have different options for different customer peculiarities.

As much as it is important to alert ourselves to fraudulent individuals and entities out there, it is important for us to seek fact and avoid being misled by malicious people, peddling “fake” news and agents of destruction, who may seek to unduly target institutions helping the needy for only God knows why.

Nairaland is a great platform for information, please we do not want peddlers of fake news to destroy the reputation of this platform, please.

Fellow Nairalanders, beware of people like this who may be agents of misinformation. Blackstone Capital and I would recommend it anyday, anytime.
