So EFCC should have ignored the possible tax evasion case?
Is that how it is done in the places where Kashamu and Tinubu are/were drug fugitives?
What problem do you have personally with Baba Ijebu clearing his taxes? The people don't need the schools, clinics, roads, water, jobs etc that would be created from the taxes?
Ask yourself does that kind of scenerio happen in a saner society. Where law enforcement agencies will rely information from dangerous drug barons and fugitives about individuals involved in tax evasion while those informant will go about their normal business. Who is the bigger criminal

Yes.
You obviously have not heard of cases where a suspect/accomplice bargains to be a prosecution witness for a lesser sentence.
That happens in order to easily nail the prime target in the particular case.
Meanwhile, you have not answered why you personally don't want Baba Ijebu to pay all his taxes.
What do you have at stake for him not to pay up?

I don't play baba ijebu and I don't know who plays it. I don't know how it is played and I can't remember whether I have entered into Baba Ijebu shop. My grouse to this issues is why is EFCC taking instructions from a kettle to deal with other pots because they have a black bottom.

How does a petition equate to instructions?

Why are Nigerians like this ?
So if the man has been defrauding the government by not paying tax, he should not be held accountable ?
For your info, in the UK despite all the other big enterprises they have, the owner of Bet365 is the biggest tax payer in the whole of UK, but here you don't want shylocks like Adebutu to pay tax and yet you want Nigeria to be like Britain

You don't know what's happening so keep quiet

It is even a petition and not an instruction. What ominous audacity. He should be extradited to answer for the crimes he is accused of. angry

Efcc has been compromised. Buruji kashamu that ought to be extradited for drugs and cocaine related issues is now asking Efcc to investigate his competitor. If EFCC I have conscience they will do the right thing.

What has an outstanding extradition case have to do with someone not paying taxes, whether a competitor or not of the accuser?
I am confused.

In the US and other parts of the world, government earnings from lotteries are used to fund infrastructures and education sector. What about Nigeria? Is it okay for these criminal individuals to corner all the returns. Eventually, the players will be losing money too.

Thanks for explaining that to all the wailers on this thread.

These are 2 brothers from the West, if they were from the East some people will say Igbos don't love themselves.
Tax evasion is a serious crime and no reasonable country take kindly to such crime. Our Nigerian business owners should learn to apply the best practices in running their companies. Secondly, the accounting bodies should have some tighter regulation on their members. Accountant are either helping to perpetrate financial crimes or stay aloof to what they see. There is nothing wrong in these companies doing tax planning to reduce or avoid exposure but outright evasion, it a big crime.
