With which electricity
So bro we really don't need advance tech right now ,we need power supply and every other things will fall into play ,

The same electricity boys use in doing Yahoo or turning up at the night clubs.

How does one get access to it, is it free? I think it’s a welcome development, alongside the likes of cchub and zonetech park, Nigeria’s technology space will more than double in talent, startups and venture capital by 2022.

Even if you are in tech, one has to be very careful and look into the future, everybody is into web development or machine learning today(I admit this is a good time to get into data science), but soon these jobs will be automated and it’ll basically be the dotcom crisis over again.

I hate to imagine a future where you’d be earning peanuts as a full stack dev. Digital marketing has reached its tipping point has has gone under

It’s wiser to go into security, networking, hacking,
or operating systems, Linux or windows etc These are the more difficult, less glamorous jobs with higher entry requirements, but they pay so well and will still be in demand in the future ( security experts earn as much as senior full stack developers which feels unfair to me)

Why will machine learning be obsolete in the future....
Is that not the basis of artificial intelligence...
The bedrock of future IT....

Nigeria is the leading start up capital of the continent.
Once Trump blocks visa process, all those tech ventures would be going to Jack ma for funding, instead of Jack Dorsey.

Re: Google Launches First Developer Space In Nigeria by CSTR2: 8:28pm On Jan 29, 2020
I would have preferred it in a place like Uyo or tinapa.
Where geeks all over the country can come on Google's dime, develop softwares and enjoy perfect nature.

It would have been resplendent.

I'm currently on the OS path.. with a eye for cloud security...
Was almost feeling useless I'm not a programmer yet..Until I saw this.. cheesy
But I really love the thrill applying logic and have been learning and applying programming concepts to automate cloud administration tasks with Powershell. ..still undecided if I do ,C# or python next

See cynicism. Do you even know the number of Indians working for these tech companies? Many of them sometimes go on to create their own successful businesses. Don't get shackled by cynicism.
Sometimes una need to try comprehend person comment bfor una form all n all ontop anoda person opinion. Were in my statement i tk numerical data to classify Africans as a whole so why i would use numerical data to know d number of indians working for them? You don't agree with someone's opinion, u read and ignore.

BTW, it is only in Nigeria you would see tech launching and na old aunties and uncles everywhere.

In other parts of the world, highly skilled kids are the ones you would see, which is how it should be.

Tech is for the young.

Machine learning won’t be obsolete, jobs requiring machine learning engineers or data scientists will, many of those jobs will be automated.
Only researchers and skilled senior engineers would be in high demand, by that I mean the guys who actually develop the python and r libraries currently being used by the “application level” data scientists
