Good day everyone, I don't know if this question has been answered on any trend before.

I have been wondering the for some time now, the importance of going to church as a religious routine.

Of course, I know the scripture says "do not forsake the assembly of others." but couldn't this assembly just be a mere visitation and meeting with other Christians at different places aside the church?

I need sincere thoughts on this, don't be bias or religious.

It wouldn't be important, if truly xtians find time to attend xtian gathering, or discuss spiritual matters. For most people sunday is the only time they get involved in spiritual matter.

But are people not tire of routines?

I mean, Sunday 8am, Monday 5pm, Wednesday 4pm?

and all they do is:

Opening prayer 5minutes;
Songs and Worship 15 minutes; and so on?

I don't know, if you are getting me?

Going to church is God rendering services to you. He feeds you with informations that will transform your life and with which you can change others...that's why ppl don't take it important.

As far as God is concerned, those who really come to church to honor him are those who come to render services to him... Ppl who come earlier than the normal service time to clean up the church, put all things in order, pray for the ministration to meet lives and not necessarily the pastor's anointing. Those who during the service ensure that while others are just sitting listening to the ministers, all protocols are well organized, those who wait after service has ended to clean up again and render a special thanksgivings prayer session and are ready to do same during the week and not on Sundays alone. Those are the people who come to honor God in church service. Others(most people) are just churchgoers and benchwarmers.

I get u. The fact is when u love what u r doing u don't get tired of it easily, most xtians are just xtians by mouth, or "inheritance", we don't actually believe in d word.

We don't get tired of our job routine, nor is a student tired of school routine, even if they r tired, they persevere because there is a reward at d end, but most xtians don't see d need, so it is just like they r forcing themselves to attend these services, hence they get tired and bored easily.

It is not a must u attend church gatherings, but it is impotant.

You are correct in your assessment of that verse. As far as the bible is concerned there is nothing like going to church. Because Christians are the church(the house of God). So you can't say ''let's go to Church'' but you can say let us assemble as Church. Church used in the context of the world is a place or location where Christians go to worship God. Which is an error because God cannot be worshipped any more at a place but in Spirit(and in truth). [Courtesy of Jesus and the Samaritan woman.]

Paul's letters were addressed to the church(believers) dwelling in Rome, Corinth, Galatia not to designated places. So the early Christians would gather at any place of their choice(whether they made some a permanent place of meeting still doesn't matter as long as they did not think that the place had become God's tabernacle, because they were God's tabernacle not where they met)

So for the world ''Going to church'' is a ritual like keeping the sabbath day. And church, a building where God lives and a place where one man or few members are active while the rest are passive or inactive. Also a place where members don't know one another. Some may know quite a number but can't keep up with the rest. Even the pastor cannot identify his members except a handful.

But for the bible, a church is a group of believers (they could be 2, still doesn't matter because God is in their midst) who are all active in sharing their spiritual blessings, gifts and knowledge with one another. They could meet in their homes, anywhere that is convenient to build and strengthen one another as many times a week as they plan. Among them are teachers or/ and pastors, evangelists, prophets, elders, healers, those who speak in tongues and those who interpret these tongues, etc All these offices are there for the edification of the church. I believe that the early Christians knew one another and most likely operated as cells. Not overpopulated like today's idea of church.

The hebrew writer was not writing to the worldly church but the bible church: ''Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.'' Hebrews 10:25

He said the ''assembling of ourselves'' not the ''assembling of others'' He did not say assemble with a church goer or a nominal christian but believers in Christ who walk in the same faith of Christ as we. The church goer is not part of the church and has no spiritual knowledge, blessing or gift to exhort a genuine christian in Christ.

While the church goer is satisfied with the worldly church, the believer in Christ isn't
