How can a person overcome fear during interview?

The key thing is preparation.
1) Know your CV inside out.

2) Practise possible interview questions and listen to yourself respond to those questions.

3) Know about the company. If possible research the kind of questions they ask at their interviews.. You'll be surprised, you may find some online.

4) Get your clothes ready, ironed and your shoes shined. You don't want anything to make your adrenalin running unnecessarily high.

5) Get to the venue early.

6) All the above is to make you relax.

7) On a final note... I'll say if you really the nervous type, try take a can of energy drink _ Red Bull or something to just make you relax. Please not alcohol oooo.

Just have it at the back of your mind that, you know yourself, your CV, your work experience better than the guys opposite you.

What works for me is seeing everyone as 'just human' and nothing else. In my mind, i usually say they don't have two heads, or know it all. I gain confidence from that and usually ace what I'm doing.

Assume the interview session as a serious discussion with a friend! Assume the interviewer as your mate!!! And most important take everything very serious, don,t assume u know too much

The best way to overcome your fear is to relax.
Make sure you have a detailed information abt the company, job description n person specification. Match them with your skills. Familiarize yourself with ur cv properly. On the interview day just relax, listen to question asked carefully, dont rush to answer. process the question and then respond to them intelligently. Wish you the best.

People that av attended various interviews tend to feel at home when going for the next interview, l will advise you apply for many job vacancies you may learn from your previous mistakes and respond better next time moreover failing at just one interview won't make you feel like the whole world is going to crash on you when you still av other job possibility elsewhere meanwhile when going for any interview it's important to keep telling yourself that most interviewers are people like you who happened to get a job in that organisation earlier if they are looking for another job they too will be interviewed also prepare well and look very good when going for the interview.

The more interviews you attend the less the fright. For now just release yourself and be natural. The confidence will come in.

I remembered I applied for a job I kn notin abt, eventually I was called for interview. wen I got there fear from nowhere jus enveloped me. it got to my turn, I was called inn..!!! in fear I stood up, immediately I stepped in and saw the panels of 3men seating. I just said to myself"we die here today" low and behold confident from nowhere just enveloped me. I sat, all the questions I was asked na logic and confident I take ansa. do u kn what I got the job. wat spoiled everytin dem no dey pay in time
