Today 8th is my Aunt's birthday and my close friends wedding.

My Aunt want me to coordinate some activities at her party. My friend want me to be available with committee of friends incase he needs me for something.

And my aunt has been accusing me of dodging her ...distancing myself from her since last year.

I don't know what to do. I know I will become someone's enemy after today.

I need help making decision on who I can offend between the 2.

Its been bursting my brain...I don't know the right thing to do.

What you should understand here is that your aunt birthday will still come next year and some other years. But your friend wedding will never come again,

A friend in need is a friend indeed. Your aunt can't be your enemy for life because of today as you can always makeup for it even if she gets angry or becomes your enemy for a year. Her next year birthday, just surprise her with a huge or surprising gift and all the rift is over. But you can't surprise your friend with anything, once today is gone. It is gone for life

so think fast about what you want.

I agreed with u. However...the birthday is like a life milestone to her. She is not a birthday person..

She is celebrating her 50 years.
