That is the problem, the world cannot show or tell you the true value of prosperity! True prosperity comes from God and He's the only one that can show /tell/evaluate prosperity.

That prosperity is for our souls not to perish. And that is salvation, whether we get killed, stoned or burnt alive. Whether we get maltreated, accused, abused, offended or fired from work. Whether we have to beg than to steal or work for far less than we earn so as to preach the truth we prosper because our souls draw close to God. And not towards material things.
