Can brainbox be responsible for my 1999 sienna van to be misfiring with poor acceleration, loss of power and poor fuel efficiency? I have changed plugs and fuel pump several times but no improvement. I have even changed mass airflow sensor, air filter, fuel filter no changes.

I have noticed my fuel economy has been extremely high and has changed everything possible that can promote good fuel efficiency. bought indomie, spark plugs, air filter, back pot and serviced nozzles yet the fuel efficiency is still same. I have ran several scans and the only code that keeps popping is P1659 ECTS relay malfunction off. several technicians have tried erasing the code but it keeps coming up. The last technician I met after series of diagnosis and even replaced the relay the code still came up. in summary he concluded it was from the brain box and I would have to live with it. my question now is it possible to reprogram the brain box to enhance my vehicle performance and increase it's fuel efficiency. civic 07
