God saved us today. My friend was sleeping at the balcony of our three bedroom flat apartment this afternoon because of the heat when this snake came down from the manhole of the ceiling and climbed over my friend and ran into storeroom. While trying to kill the snake we realized that there are rats in the storeroom and the snake was hunting them.

I have killed this type of snake before. It doesn't have fangs, only teeth. At Op correct me if I am wrong. You live close to a bush land filled with different grasses and trees. You are likely to see that type of snake within those environment. They love rat and frog, sometimes small lizard also. That was when I was into construction and building planning. Been long though Some call it forest cobra, others call it rat snake. I call it black water snake. There is also the brown water snake also.
