Umahi just like his southwestern counterparts is playing the politics of 2023. The southwest governors don't want to openly tell their people that Amotekun has been technically reduced to state vigilante services. They agreed to a lot of compromise with the Nigerian police. The Amotekun in the mind of southwest populace and the one beign packaged by their leaders are not exactly the same.

Umahi has been annoying so far politics wise but I can't hold him responsible for reading out a resolution made in the presence of Vice president and southwest governors. Did he impose his will on the NEC. What was the position of Osinbajo and the southwest governors. Did he overule them? Have any one of them released a press statement calling him out or denying the resolution?

What you are seeing is a high level "you dey watch am, e dey go" political chess. Don't break sweat over anyone of them.
