The wind whistled and blew violently against the window putting off the candle light. The room went totally dark and the air was chilly. Sean shivered. He wrapped his hand around himself, pulling his cold jacket closer. He shivered again. He used his leg to look for his lighter which he dropped close to him and when he felt it, he picked it up and flicked it on. Then he lighted his candle, the only form of illumination in the dark room. He wondered why he accepted the dare to stay in this room for three days and nights and shook his head. He was going to pull out of the dare and leave tomorrow. But that would make him a chicken. His friends would call him a coward for not fulfilling his dare and they would disrespect and disregard him; but if he succeeds, he would be admired by all and would be the head. After all, the head should be a leader and not chicken out at the first sign of danger. He made a firm resolve to stay till the end. He imagined himself walking with his friends and everyone loving him and tossing flowers at him. He imagined the girls that would be at his beck and call. He smiled. A sound brought him back from his imaginations and he listened. It was stark dark outside and he couldn't see. He walked slowly to the window, shutting it. He returned to his stool. He has got to prove that he is a leader. He listened quietly, scared. He was in the woods. He was alone. He was in the cabin. Not just any cabin... He was in the legendary cabin in the woods.
