I'm very displeased even with the cries and pleadings this Government is bent on destroying the future of Nigeria youths.

From what I just read now I can boldly tell us Nigerians welcome back to the days of Abacha when Nigeria was owing huge death until it took the intervention of Obasanjo and Ngozi Okonjo Iweala to make sure some of that debt was written off and here we are again.

Please let me ask again; what has FG and Nigerians got to do with part of this loan that FG planned to spend in Kastina, Kaduna and some environmental program in Abuja.

Moreover, nowhere did Southeast mentioned in that loan as the vocational power training that Enugu was mentioned to be part of and not even a single tangible was mentioned to be spent as part of the loan.

Finally, Nigeria are blessed with men with good and creative plans but curse with lack of implementation, supervision and maintenance, therefore some of the loans we took in the previous years are diverted and projects abandoned midway.

Please, Nigeria youths must wake up today to demand the itemization of projects the money will be spent on and make not only the money was 100% spent on that project but make sure the project is viable and can repay this loan on it own without feeling hands into the purse of Nigeria.

I blame Nigerian youths who will not stand up in a never- seen - before nation wide protest....

You people make me sick with your glaring lies.
Is Isreal more prosperous than Suadi Kuwait UAE ? What exactly did the Igbo went thru that you won't let us hear word. Did Nigeria not pay igbo state federal allocation for 3 good years ? If that money was not paid by Awolowo you love to hate your father n you will be in hell called Biafra n not just the shithole red mud enclave you brag about today.

Concerning anyone hating the igbo that is the most foolish comment passed among Igbos from generations to generations. Igbos claim Hausa Fulani Yoruba Kanuri Ikwerre Malaysians Singaporeans Chinese Indians Arabs South Africans n others hate them but can't tell who they love aside the crude oil of the NiherDelta.

9jaDoomCountry:

Israel is the most hated country in the middle east yet most prosperous. Igbos are the most hated , most envied in Nigeria yet most advanced individually, has the lowest poverty level because of determination to succeed.

No region will achieve what the Igbo nation has achieved in Nigeria within a short period of time given what they went through after the war. It is not gainsaying. They are living on borrowed money we are living on works of our hands money.

no sensible financial system would fund a project in a region prone to seccession , they just wont approve it, since their investment wouldn't be secured

each project approved in the loan, the financial instituition did proper risk accessment before putting their money down

Accommodate who? If we can compete with people in thier region business wise and dominate them , and they on the other hand are scared of coming to compete with us in our own region, means we are not accommodative ? No region is smart enough to come do business in the east

We belong to this unitary government , we pay taxes and generate revenue for the federal government , we have two oil producing states that contributes to this country , so if a loan is collected on behalf of this country why cut us off? We have what it takes to develop our region if we are not forced to pay taxes to federal government , why not allow us have a government of our own if central doesn't include us equally?
It seems you don't understand what they mean by 'accommodating'

Whenever anyone from the west throw that word, just know they mean — accepting Islam (more Igbo converts)

I stopped listening, and started to understand what they say or do. That way, I don't miss their messages or underlying intentions.

CSTR2:

And the irony is that you need to activate the Nnewi -aba- Onitsha industrial clusters to even have a chance at sustainable industrialisation of this country.
I would expect significant investment in roads, power and standardisation of those places.

Invest in the middle belt. Activate their agricultural sector.

The old man is building rails and roads in the north.

To do what? To make Northern -southern Migration easier?

It's a waste. Nobody can convince me otherwise.

its not reasonable to borrow to fund education and health as this are not revenue generating sector of the economy

Is it not a person with access to quality healthcare that would be able to work and generate revenue. Is it not a person that is knowledgeable and skilled that would be able to generate revenue?

Health and Education are the bedrock of any serious society.

And education gets $100m

This loan isn't the national budget and it doesn't replace the national budget (which already has ~$3bn for education). It's just a loan primarily to finance certain key capital projects and i dont see anything wrong with that.

Meanwhile without even reading it in detail, I even see some more funds for education in there:
– Better Education Service Delivery for All (BESDA) ($500m, nationwide). So how did you come up with your $100m figure? Crowd mentality?

Education is important but sometimes we need to leave this crowd mentality begin and kiss the truth; Nigeria has a massive infrastructure deficiency and all funds cant just be spent on education in a country that doesnt have mere power supply or mororable roads.

I particularly would be pleased to see Mambilla hydro dam come to existence as that singular project would change the game in our power woes. Sometime in 2016 when power generation and distribution hit 5100mw, everybody confessed how power supply in their areas had improved, and then it crashed back to below 4000mw and we returned to darkness. Mambilla alone adding consistent 3000mw to the grid will change a lot. Fairly good power supply eill cancel a lot of misery and frustration we experience everyday in Nigeria.

Israel is hated by the middle east because it is a British creation with badly drawn borders consisting of people who never lived there but lay claim to the region oppressing another group. The same thing IPOB leaders are agitating against but I guess that's alright since they are Muslims.

Israel is also an ally of the U. S. who have used legalised bribery (known as lobbying) and guilt over the holocaust to strong arm the U.S. into doing their bidding. The U. S. also needs Isreal to spread it's influence worldwide.

The most critical issue on the table is electricity and what I think they need to spend all the money on, but they must finish the rail projects.

Per electricity, I think they need to halt all the power spending and formulate a marshall plan, but I don't think we have the leadership and political will to do so since the feeders are fully invested in the paralysis.
