NIgeria is not ripe for such owing to the fact that the President have Judiciary and security apparatchiks in his pocket. The opposition governors and their deputies will be removed at will and on Trumped up charges.

We all know how notorious the efcc and dss have become under this government the law will only give the president more power and create a monster in aso rock.

This is a right bill. But in the Nigerian system it is wrong. It can be argued that every politician in Nigeria has stolen money.

If this is law, it will only be used for political vendetta and to force corrupt converts to one party. This is the beginning of doom.

If the law enforcement agencies are non partisan, disciplined and upright, this can go. But as it is, making this law is the beginning of a one party state and putting power to select and swap leaders in the hands of the president not we the people.

Very dead on arrival. If such a bill is passed into law, there will be no room for opositions which will systematically leads to one party state. And more importantly the governors, just like the judiciary, will be in the absolute control of the the President and his cohorts. When this bill is passed any governor will be afraid to reject RUGA . Consequently the Islamination of Nigeria become as easily as ABCD.

We do not need amendments. We need a new constitution

That's because the senators do not have immunity.

It's a good one but the law is dead already before its making, it won't see the light of the day in state houses of assembly....for me the root cause of corruption lies in our electoral system, if our electoral system is gotten right 50psrcent of corruption is solved in the country. I will be surprised if our electoral laws are amended to cater for electronics voting so that these corrupt elements in our country can be booted out of the system..Surprisely the sponsor of the bill was among those who kicked against electoral amendment by the last assembly.... We only push for the right things in this country when it suits our interest.....

This bill is as dangerous as State Police bill. With such a bill in place the power of the President has been multiplied a thousand folds. We should rather be seeking increasing autonomy of States and reducing the role of central authority..
