Come 2023 i think the northern group is preparing sanusi for the presidency. The dethroning of sanusi is just to create a cult like following. Fellow Nigerians don't be surprised when you see the posters during the 2023 elections. The north is trying to create its own biblical Joseph, just like olusegun obansanjo and goodluck Jonathan rose unexpectedly from zero to hero. They want someone who is educated and well known who can redeem the already tarnished image of the north by the incumbent. They want someone who everyone can accept easily. Sanusi lamido is a good one. Dethroning him is just to create a smoke screen( deception) and to register him in the subconscious of the Nigerian masses. This is just my opinion what do you think?

He is intelligent with sound economic sense, isn't a conservative or extremist, he's a reformer by nature & antecedents, has an excellent track record of professional and administrative success, well connected globally in finance and banking circles, possesses tremendous goodwill domestically...and yes he's an eloquent orator I agree.

Sultan and I are Miyetti Allah's patrons, says Sanusi
14 Jan 2018 · The emir said, “ Some months ago in Mambilla, in one weekend, over 800 Fulani were murdered by Mambilla

Sanusi is a fulani jihadist, when has 800 fulani ever been murdered? When exactly are you going to have sense

Ohhh you are Fulani?

Peter Obi/Sanusi, Akinwumi Adesina/Sanusi. Even Osinbajo/El Rufai will be great.
Fvck ethnicity and religion, Nigeria needs technocrats to set things right.

Even at that Sanusi is still more sound than Buhari Atiku Obi Osibanjo. I am not sure you Nigerians know what you want. Every1 against Buhari should be praying Sanusi become the president if that is not is project after the South had it turn because I do not see a single soul of equal intelligence to Sanusi in our political sphere right now but will those evil Nigerian politicians ever allow a redeemer get to that seat ?

Rubbish
His so called intelligence is self promotion
We heard more in the media about Sanusi in one month than we heard about Soludo or Emefiele in their entire tenure.
When you watch a football game and you notice the referee more than the players something is wrong.
CBN governor s around the world are known for reticence and obscurity not winning bogus Man of the year awards.
Why should a referee win man of the match award?
I have seen nothing to show Sanusi as more intelligent than average.
Is he as intelligent or knowledgeable as Ezekwesili?
He went to Kings College around the same time as Saraki and was not outstanding in anyway. He speaks English with a cultivated access but that is an issue of social class in Nigeria not intelligence. If you grew up in Ikoyi in the 70s you would sound like him even if you didn't attend university
There are millions of more intelligent Nigerians who cannot get a job because of background

I completely agree to this so long you can accept Emefiele Soludo n Iweala as shown nothing to prove they are more intelligent or of beta capacity than him.

You see what you failed to admit is that Sanusi is more cerebral than the average hausafulanis elite n can compete toe to toe with the very best in the South. Now, that is one northerner you don't see everyday. That is what your kudos should go out to.

This is unintelligent

Is there any function that connects his intelligence to that of Emefiele?

The assumption is everyone is intelligent .So when we start saying Mr A is then that implies exceptionality
The only thing exceptional about Sanusi compared to previous CBN governors are his garrulous and self promoting behaviour.
Yinka Odumakin said in the past we knew CBN governors by their signature and photograph. They were largely silent. That is how it is all over the World no one remembers CBN governors and the reason is simple. CBNS are run by agroup in a collegiate manner. The governors generally do not wield executive power as many people seem to believe

I have never heard anyone go around saying Mr A the Vice Chancellor of university B is intelligent. They are expected to be!! just like judges doctors etc.
We only say that if there is something exceptional

Sanusi is not the first CBN governor from the North and there is no evidence he is more intelligent than the others.
The difference is his narcissism

You are grossly misinformed.

The award Sanusi won is WORLD CENTRAL BANK GOVERNOR OF THE YEAR awarded by bankers themselves and not man of the year, which rubbishes your accusation of self promotion and claim that central bankers are known for obscurity. Hogwash.

Excerpts: Editor of the magazine, Mr. Brian Caplen, noted in the 2011 January edition of The Banker, billed to be distributed at the World Economic Forum, Davos, Switzerland, that a few candidates' names can generate an overall consensus on judging panels and yet, when it came to finding the best global central bank governor of the year, Sanusi was chosen unanimously.

That is simply untrue.

Are you retracting that?
Is the Financial Times a group of bankers?
Have you ever seen a copy of this "magazine " how many copies of the Financial times of London are sold daily?

So because a journal is from London we should fry beans?

How is it more relevant than Thisday awards?
Now you are getting emotional.
Where is the hatred.

I am indifferent to him

The fact is he is no different from any other CBN governor in terms of intelligence however he has consistently shown that he lacks the wisdom for public office.
He has been kicked out of office at least 3 times and that speaks volumes

A southerner with Sanusi's qualification will never become CBN governor at that time in 2009.
Check out his education achievement: Bachelor degree from ABU Zaria (economics) and master degree from the same institution. Compare this to Soludo's education qualification: Soludo is a core professional in the business of macroeconomics. Charles obtained his three degrees and then professorship at the University of Nigeria in Nsukka, Enugu State. Soludo graduated with a First Class Honors degree in 1984, an MSc Economics in 1987, and a PhD in 1989, winning prizes for the best student at all three levels.

Let us compare their professional carriers before CBN.
Prof Soludo has been visiting scholar at the International Monetary Fund, the University of Cambridge, the Brookings Institution, the University of Warwick and the University of Oxford and a visiting professor at Swarthmore College (USA). Chukwuma has also worked as a consultant for a number of international organisations, including The World Bank, the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, and the United Nations Development Programme

Sanusi was in 1985, hired by Icon Limited and Barings Bank. He joined United Bank for Africa in 1997, working in the credit and risk management division but later rose to the position of general manager.
In 2005, he became the executive director in charge of risk and management control at First Bank of Nigeria. In 2009, Sanusi became the first northern Nigerian to head the bank after he was appointed CEO

Let us check their publications:

Soludo
North-South Macroeconomic Interactions: Comparative Analysis using the MULTI MODE and INTERMOD global models for the Brookings discussion papers in international economics, Brookings Institution – 1992
Implications of alternative macroeconomic policy responses to external shocks in Africa in the Development research papers series for the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), Socio-Economic Research and Planning Division – 1993
Growth performance in Africa: Further evidence on the external shocks versus domestic policy debate in the Development research papers series, for the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), Socio-Economic Research and Planning Division – 1993
The Consequences of US Fiscal Actions in a Global Model with Alternative Assumptions about the Exchange Regime in Developing Countries – 1994

Finally, Soludo was never in the same bracket with Sanusi. Though Sanusi is eloquent, anyone with a basic education can also be eloquent. What makes a man to stand out is his reforms and contribution to knowledge.

This is tales by moonlighgt to fool your soul on not for me. The post of the CBN governor is a political post, if southerners can not lobby to earn the post that is their father's problem not mine.

You mean with all the backlog of qualification Soludo gathered he is not as eloquent as Sanusi n I never noticed that ?! Anyone with basic education can be eloquent I wonder why Soludo isn't as eloquent as Sanusi then. Does he not have basic education like everyone else ?

Southerner claim to be more qualified than the northerners but when appointed to where they should distinguish themselves with their row call of qualifications there is little or nothing to distinguish the two.

Since 1999 every power minister as been a southerner yet we have no light till date but you are here bragging about qualifications that is even debatable if I have time to bring Sanusi qualifications.
