After 2 weeks of salary delay university workers salary, the FG pays this afternoon without the minimum wage through IPPIS. This comes as a surprise to university workers who have been expecting minimum wage especially when they have been captured by IPPIS since November last year

Cut wetin?

There's no explanation where the increment came from.

Even fellow staffers are just guessing and speculating.

Maybe we just have to wait for the pay slip to come out so that we know get a better understanding.

But all the same, the increment is pretty much welcome. wink

Its no minimum wage, and its no increment. They didn't just deduct one or two of your normal deductions like cooperative contribution or any loan taken. They will start those deductions in subsequent payments.

Hmm...

In that case, I wonder what dues they must have been deducting that reaches up to 9K.

Well sha, let me just continue to wait until the payslip lands to make these things clearer.

Maybe IPPIS is really a great deal after all...

Sorry, it seems the minimum wage is already implemented. To some, it will be an increment while to some others, a decrement. It all depends on the allowances being previously incorporated in the salaries by the individual institution. Some like harzard allowances aint paid by fg, supposed to be paid from school igr. So, if paid together with salary, just know its been discarded n won't be calculated. Tax also is been deducted 100%
