Hello Nairalanders, please I have a friend who's return flight to the US is scheduled for 20/3/2020. With the recent travel ban by Trump on all flights coming in from 26 European countries, I'm kinda confused if this development might affect his trip. His flight is supposed to take off from Lagos-Frankfurt-Houston, Lufthansa Airlines precisely.
Although I just confirmed the restrictions do not affect returning US Citizens, although they will be screened rigorously at the airports upon arrival. I've been trying to contact Lufthansa Office @ the Lagos Airport to confirm when the next available flight is without success. I will appreciate every meaningful contribution on this THREAD, thank you

You will be alright, just don't leave the airport in Frankfurt. And be ready to be quarantined for 14+ days when you get to US. Good luck!

Thanks for the feedback. We've looked online, and contacted Lufthansa Airlines as well. According to them, arrangements are being made to continue with their normal Flight routine, albeit using alternative routes

Not really, my point is It's not a direct Flight from Lagos to Houston, there's a stop-over @ Frankfurt.

German authorities haven't said nothing about Shutting their Airspace, and i watched Trump's address on AlJazeera this morning, he said American Citizens can come in, but they would be subjected to serious scrutiny and screening. Well, i just hope this doesn't get worse than this. In other words, China is slowly recovering.

If all shuts down on 20/3, they might offer an alternative or refund or reschedule ..... (if an alternative is available)

What's the current status of ur flight ?

I think your best bet is to contact your airline or go to their office if they are not picking up this is a serious matter a guy was refused from boarding Yesterday at Abuja Airport he was going to the US according to what l gathered they say Trump only allows US citizens and Greencard holders to enter the US at this time no matter where you are coming from and especially from Europe, just call your airline or go to their office to be sure.
