Theres nothing like empires again and ekiti was never under oyo empire, one people you dont joke with when it comes to history or been so educated are the ekiti people they will use pen and destory you cos the well educated. Yes someone already corrected me on the oyo empire mix up, but that was in the 18th century so its out of it. Alaffin of oyo should sit in his domain. I just felt his intrest is been partial in these case cos during the case of oni and olugbo he kept mute. He should let ekiti people handle thier thing, if am wrong pls do correct me i think its the governor that elects the chiarman of councils of oba which i believe is the problem here? The feel the Alewe is too small in rank to be the chairman of councils of oba. And thank God we no more in the era of western region were oba had so much power and mis use it. But why are other obas like oni, oluibadan, awujale, alake, deji of akure, and other first class oba not talking why only him.

I should point out that Oyo never subdued totally all of the region that today people call "Yorubaland" e.g Ijebu,Egba or Lagos State.
Oyo did not control the coastal trade eith Europeans.
Therefore in modern day Nigeria it is offensive to attempt to propagate Alaafin as leader of everyone

Ijebu do not circumcise their women. This is such a unique and distinguishing feature it cannot be overlooked or discounted.
