He is insulting those who criticized Adeboye. That is wrong. True Christians expect to be prosecuted and take it in their strides. They are not (2 Timothy 3:12). Nowhere are they allowed to repay evil with evil.

For many of such ones, Christianity solely revolves around pastor worship. The pastor in most causes have taken the place of God.

What Pastor Adeboye said, was it scriptural?. The Bible foretold that during our time there will be pestilences. (Read Luke 24:11). Why did he not alert his members about this in his broadcast? Is the virus not a pestilence? Is it not a pandemic?

Also, did the Bible ever say Christians will never face trials or suffer illness? . Even the apostle Paul was sickly (probably due to the many beatings and flogging he experienced Read 2 Corinthians 11:24-27). Timothy wasn't spared of sicknesses (Read 1 Timothy 5:23). To start telling Christians they are immune from the virus is a disservice. King Solomon was very clear that "time and chance befall us all" (Read Eccl (:11-12). "Us all" and not just some.

Whenever you're preached to, always emphasize that it is backed up with Bible scriptures. That is what the Bereans did when Paul preached to them. They did not just say that because it is Apostle Paul, they will just accept whatever he is saying (Read Acts 17:11). The Bible praised their conduct saying they were more noble minded than the Thessalonicans. Always ensure what you are preached to is Bible based (Read Galatians 1:8-9)
