Today, December 25th, we celebrate the birthday of a great man!
One of the greatest men that ever walked on this planet! Since he walked this earth, the world has never been the same!
He opened the eyes of mankind to the basic laws that govern this world, which we must obey whether we like it or not. Whether we believe it or not! The laws apply to both the living, the dead and non-living things alike without prejudice.
As the laws were in the beginning, they are now, and forever they shall be, world without end Amen!!!!!!!
Please let’s celebrate with fanfare and carols, not the birthday of the one you may think I am referring to. wink wink
Let’s celebrate the birthday of Sir Isaac Newton.!!! cheesy cheesy

Isaac Newton achievements and contribution to knowledge is still the basis of most scientific advancement today. But the religion your Jesus founded has only tried to hold back knowledge. On balance, religion has caused more harm to mankind than good. It is time real heroes of civilisation like isaac newton, Gallileo, Darwin, Enstien etc are celebrated, rather than some others I know in whose name were wars fought, crusades, inquisitions, etc took place. The darkest parts of our civilisation always have religion as the basis. Nobody is threatened for not believing Newtons law of motion or of gravity or calculus, yet we are still enjoying the benefits today.

Sir Isaac Newton

Sir Isaac Newton FRS [OS: 25 December 1642 – 20 March 1726])[1] was an English physicist, mathematician, astronomer, natural philosopher, alchemist, and theologian, and is considered by many scholars and members of the general public to be one of the most influential people in human history. His Philosophiæ Naturalis Principia Mathematica (Latin for "Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy"; usually called the Principia), published in 1687, is probably the most important scientific book ever written. It lays the groundwork for most of classical mechanics. In this work, Newton described universal gravitation and the three laws of motion, which dominated the scientific view of the physical universe for the next three centuries. Newton showed that the motions of objects on Earth and of celestial bodies are governed by the same set of natural laws, by demonstrating the consistency between Kepler's laws of planetary motion and his theory of gravitation; thus removing the last doubts about heliocentrism and advancing the Scientific Revolution.

Newton built the first practical reflecting telescope[7] and developed a theory of colour based on the observation that a prism decomposes white light into the many colours that form the visible spectrum. He also formulated an empirical law of cooling and studied the speed of sound.

In mathematics, Newton shares the credit with Gottfried Leibniz for the development of differential and integral calculus. He also demonstrated the generalised binomial theorem, developed Newton's method for approximating the roots of a function, and contributed to the study of power series.
