Some weeks Back Super Eagles Striker victor Osimhen revealed in a ln interview with Popular radio Station, Nigerian Info(99.3FM) how he chose Wolfsburg ahead of top teams and his struggles before becoming a professional footballer.

The 20 Years old Lille star striker was received last Night at Popular radio Station, Nigerian Info and was made to answer various questions by On-Air-Personalities conducting the Interview in regards to his challenges and success stories.

Q1 - AFTER THE U-17 WORLD CUP, WHY DID YOU CHOOSE WOLFSBURG?
"I had offers from Barcelona, Arsenal, Inter Milan and Ajax, I spoke with Arsene Wenger, and he told me the first team wasn't guaranteed, I also spoke with my elder brother and he said Wolfsburg would be okay for me. I chose Wolfsburg and it was perfect for me."




Q2 - DID YOU FAIL TRIALS WITH TWO DIFFERENT CLUBS?
" ... I was hospitalized for for one month due to an headache which made me not able to work nor do anything. "

He also revealed Belgian side Zulte rejected him in a trial due to illness and then he returns to Wolfsburg to continue his recovery processes. He further revealed that he was rejected by club brugge because of failed trial with Zulte even though he passed the Medicals.
"Two days before the transfer market deadline,I received a call from sporting Charleroi's President and was signed with undergoing Medicals."
He also revealed that the President would have signed him Immediately after the U-17 World cup but couldn't due to no funds.

Q3 - HOW DID YOU GET TO LILLE?
"My agent told Me about the interest from Lille and Monaco but i chose Lille".

Osimhen also revealed he needed to have a strong Mentality in order to fit into the shoes of outgoing playamer and current arsenal player, Nicholas Pepe.

Q4 - HOW DOES IT FEEL TO PLAY FOR THE SUPER EAGLES ?
" It's been my dream to represent in Nigeria in the highest level. To me, I am very happy to put smiles on the faces of Nigerians."

Q5: WHO IS YOUR GREATEST SUPER EAGLES PLAYER OF ALL TIME ?
"It's really hard for me to pick, (LATE) Rashidi Yekini, Odion Ighalo, Mutiu Adepoju, Yakubu (Aiyegbeni), Obafemi Martins. For Me, they've all done well for the Nation.

" Barcelona"
