SaharaReporters is out to cause unnecessary panic. The report it published that Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu,SAN, is in self isolation is nothing but a figment of the writer’s imagination.

The Governor has taken to his twitter account to react to the news of being in Self-isolation and advised Saharareporters not to cause unnecessary panic. The Governor stressed that he will personally inform the public about his health status should the need arise.

In his tweets, Akeredolu said "Let us not cause unnecessary panic please. We are only being proactive in Ondo State. We have always tried to be one step ahead of the Virus since it began to spread. I will personally inform the public about my health status should the need arise. #COVID19"

The closure of the markets for seven days and cancellation of all official engagements for fourteen days by the Governor are only precautionary measures.

The Ondo State Government under the leadership of Governor Akeredolu has been proactive since the virus began to spread in other states.

The same Governor Akeredolu that Saharareporters claimed was in self isolation was at the Akure airport yesterday to inspect some upgrade facilities and returned to the office till about 7pm last night.
