Do You Think Mujahid Dokubo-asari Should Be Release? by Mamajama(m): 3:04pm On Jun 05, 2007
Governors of Nigeria's Niger Delta states have appealed to new President Umaru Yar'Adua to release imprisoned oil militant Mujahid Dokubo-Asari.

What kind of message will releasing this man send to the Niger Delta militants? that they can perpetuate crimes, kidnap Innocent victims and still make the government comply with their demands?

as long as we believe in democracy, FG must find out through the judiciary system what these people are fighting for.
if they are in for a just course, the FG must address that and make sure there is a balance in threatment.
who on earth will withstand a nigerian state if all these resources are from the north and yet they benefit little or nothing out of it?
obasanjo was doing all he could to satisfy his personal quest for wealth leaving behind the problems of the country.
it is time to address the problems of the niger delta and give them what is due to them.
for the minerals given them by God, i think they should the centre of attraction in nigeria with the federal government doing her best to see to the welfare of the people.
let FG release the man and solve the problems of niger delta and nigeria as a whole

If Mohamed Abach could be released while his fellow accused are still in jail 8 years later, then surely Asari Dokubo should be released whatever his alleged crimes may be!

I see Nigeria has it's  own Guantanamo Bay five star resorts where you hold people for years without trial!  If he is charged with any crime why has it not made it to court?  You know what?  Nigeria is a truly sick place! angry How can U hold people for years in captivity without trial? Not that I have any faith in the Niaja Judiciary---those charge and bail SANS----- But at least let us know what these people are charged with. OBJ would have learned that lesson since he was in Jail too without trial. Nigerians never learn from experience. Once they get to power, they assume the roles of semi-gods and goddesses---DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM ----- cool cool cool cool cool WHO IS YOUR FADA ----- grin grin grin grin grin

But if you commit a treason against the state and promote violence don't you think the government has the right to keep you to provide sanity for the society? As a leader there are civilized way of getting your mesage across to the world. violence promotion and defiant is not the answer
Re: Do You Think Mujahid Dokubo-asari Should Be Release? by MILITIA(f): 7:19pm On Jun 07, 2007
@MAMAJAMA

I sadly laugh!  Shay becuz you de for America abi?

When people fight against injustice, instead of supporting them, we say it is treason.  I guess you are in support of false imprisonment then!  Okay , it will get to your turn too!  And people in the diapora are asked to come back home and rebuild! Can't even fight oppression in the most naked form!  Asari and IBB who committed more treason to Nigeria   Na wah for Nigerians oh!  When people are frustrated and unhappy with not means of resolve what do you expect?  No water, no electricity, no education, no healthcare, no transportation, need I continue?  Why won't there be violence?  I say na wah for us Nigerians oh!  Okay!  It will get to everyone's turn sooner or later and we shall see how calm we will be! All the noise Gani has made over the years, what did he achieve?  Fela in his songs nko?  I beg!  No problem! lipsrsealed  No need to release him!  Just keep him there till he rots!  No need to bury him sef!

Violence in america na "recreational" violence since dem no get work and dem chop belle full for here! For Nigeria it is as a result of "original sufa head" in the land of plenty!
Re: Do You Think Mujahid Dokubo-asari Should Be Release? by Mamajama(m): 7:37pm On Jun 07, 2007
MILITIA good point, who was responsible for the GOLF OIL $12 Billion windfall? IBB. the man is in MINER in his mansion, if ASARI want to fight for justice let him go to IBBs house in Miner and question the tootless general why they've been neglected. all this useless kidnapping will lead to nothing but massive death to the people of this region.
Re: Do You Think Mujahid Dokubo-asari Should Be Release? by MILITIA(f): 8:45pm On Jun 07, 2007
@MAMAJAMA

Thank you for simplifying the problem.  The kidnapping should start from Niger Delta because that is where the government will feel the most pinch!  Will you supply the HUMVEES that will transport the militants to Minna? You want the Militants to do the work of the corrupt government officials with less than 1/10th of the relative wealth.  I laugh!  The reality is that you fight where you know you will be heard! Where the oil is.  At least it embarassed our infomation "parrot "minister Frank Nweke when CNN showed the Militants to the world.  Does the world know Minna and IBB? IBB is Northern Nigeria's albatrsoss. In the south, we have many of our own and I think we should deal with those ones first!

By the imprisonment of MOSSOB/MEND?MASSAP leaders and so on you think others will come out and fight? That is your OBJ's legacy to curb treason! What a sell out!  This same useless government will supply the MOPOS that will kill them on the way to Minna!  You are talking of Minna?  That is too far!  The militants should start by kidnapping all those state governors of the Niger Delta with their families. Are they not former Abacha and IBB "yahoo" boys?  Make an example with one by giving the "Sargeant Doe" Liberia style  treatment.  The rest will sit up.  If one of the rest makea so much as ha! That will send a message to the north and the world that some things are not for sale!

Let the Kidnapping start from where the oil is jare! Let it lead to senseless death!  You do not know that Nigerians have been dying of senseless deaths for 47 years?  You make me laugh! I say e go reach ya turn!  Abi na for america here you go retire It is beta that way! When the militants start beheading hostages and put in them on the world wide web, I hope we will all be happy then!
Re: Do You Think Mujahid Dokubo-asari Should Be Release? by Mamajama(m): 8:54pm On Jun 07, 2007
MILITIA will will wipe that whole region out before they start beheading peoples head. They will feel the anger of Nigerians as a whole and not that of the government. God may have mercy on you and your militant but we will have no mercy on you.

We will chase you back into your mothers womb and finish each and everyone of this criminal. their fight is useless in the sense that if the want to make a case. let them go kidnap their governor, senators and all their representatives for not fighting on their behalf, we are getting tired of this useless attention seeking people.
Re: Do You Think Mujahid Dokubo-asari Should Be Release? by MILITIA(f): 8:58pm On Jun 07, 2007
Okay!  shay from america you plan to do all this your "Rambo" work abi? May I remind you that Goerge Bush is only interested in his oil drillers in Nigeria.  After they have been evacuated it is going to be just us!  Me, you and our children and grand-children.  You think I am fighting with you  Then we go see who go deal with who!  We dey here fit make noise!  You totally missed the point!  I am so so sorry for you!  You will chase who to where?  LOL grin but very sadly! I think you take my screen name on this web page too seriously!

No need!  Look at yourself in the mirror grin  They have already chased you to a foreign land and you are making noise here.  Where else do you want to chase me to?  THE PROBLEM WITH SOUTHERN NIGERIA!    You sound like an akata Nigerian! cool When we all drop all these our fake international passports and have only that Nigerian one, only the real Nigerians will count then!  Like I said, I am not fighting with you!  How do you think Iraq got to where it is now?  You are indeed shallower than I thought! You cannot even read between the lines to know what message I am sending. One of UNITY not VIOLENCE! Nigeria does not need us for violence -- for it is already happening. Nigeria needs us for UNITY! So long amigo!  We will meet again!
Re: Do You Think Mujahid Dokubo-asari Should Be Release? by debosky(m): 9:01pm On Jun 07, 2007
He should be released, the charges were trumped up and based on some imaginary treasonable offences he committed to break up Nigeria by meeting in some Hotel in Edo State. He should be used by this govt to show the ND militias that he is a listening president willing to work with them. The president's plan to secure a guarantee that the man will not cause trouble when released shows that he is thinking about the possible consequences. If he can truly unite these militant groups and be their vboice/negotiator at the ND summit, things may eventually start changing for the better in the zone. Both sides have committed atrocities, there should be a truce and amnesty first to solve the issues. anyone who goes outside of that to wreak havoc after this should then be promptly arrested and prosecuted.

@Debosky!

Thank you for seeing what I tried to tell my "hamburger eating" Nigerian American!  I rest my case! Are we fighting ourselves or do we have a common enemy?  THE PROBLEM WITH SOUTHERN NIGERIA I SAY!  It is a pity! I weep for Nigeria!

@MAMAJAMA
You are complaining of only $12 billion windfall from IBB? Ask OBJ what happened to your $45-$50 billion in your external reserves! It only gets worse brov! I say it will get to ya turn! No worry! tongue
Re: Do You Think Mujahid Dokubo-asari Should Be Release? by Mamajama(m): 9:19pm On Jun 07, 2007
MILITIA sorry I didn't looked at your profile. you be woman. so I no go fight you oh my sister, madam I'm a true lagosian, and i go to naija at least 3 times a year and have been spending over 3 months in Nigeria for the past 10 years. so I am a authentic NIGERIAN, i can addapt like camellion. ask my ISALE EKO boys or so called AREA boys.

tell me EVEN SUNNY OKOSUN said violence is not the answer. Why was MALCOM X and Martin Luther King so powerful? they liberate and encouraged non violence protest. your people are blowing up building, hidding among innocent citizens and can't even show their face without a mask and yet you say they are fighting a just cause? How can you negotiate with a coward that won't show his face? I've said it before and again. all we need is non ENGLISH speaking MOBILE POLICE men to solve this problem
Re: Do You Think Mujahid Dokubo-asari Should Be Release? by MILITIA(f): 9:25pm On Jun 07, 2007
@MAMAJAMA

Even if i be man?  I am preaching UNITY amongst my southern people and you are talking of violence!  Na wah for you oh! lipsrsealed  I see the need to unite and chase all these trouble makers away from our southern Nigeria and you think I want to kill my brodas and sistas!  Northerners are my brodas and sistas too. But them not get problem becuz they know who to take care of each other!  I jealous them for da! embarassed The way things are now, it will only get worse!  Think about it!  No amout of MOPOS will help to quell the frustrations of the oppressed for too long!  You think Somalia, Rwanda, Liberia, Sierrra Leone and Darfur did not have MOPOS?  I say your turn is coming! grin MOPOS go go im side go chop tuwo!
Re: Do You Think Mujahid Dokubo-asari Should Be Release? by debosky(m): 9:27pm On Jun 07, 2007
obviously you're still highly ignorant of the situation. all the non english speaking mopos and the soldiers get killed like ants because they simply do not know the terrain. You cannot fight an enemy who you cannot see, they will simply get slaughtered in high numbers, a situation that the government cannot handle. They need to negotiate with the leaders of these groups to keep them in check. the splinter groups just out to make a fast buck can be arrested and dealt with. You can negotiate with them, they have faces and leaders who we all know, Dokubo never hid his face till he was arrested. the issue has gone beyond military solution. unless you are willing to shut down everything and fight an all out war.
Re: Do You Think Mujahid Dokubo-asari Should Be Release? by MILITIA(f): 9:31pm On Jun 07, 2007
Thank you!  HELLLLLLOOOOOOO! I may sound like a man but women too can read and think!  We are no longer confined to the bed and kitchen you know! tongue I said we should start dealing with these stooge governors and their lousy cabinets who are used to rob and steal from our people! Shay na the same village we dey spend christmas? When they come, we worship them and sing their praises! What is my business with foreign "expatraites" who are kidnapped? Their government have guaranteed their safety and nothing will eva happen to them. Besides they are only "helping" us! So you see we have work to do in our own land and do not need foreign oil workers to prove anything!

@Debo

How many times did i call you?

Nigeria is greater than any region, person or tribe.

Once somebody says he is going to blow up Nigeria or make Naija ungovernable the person has commited an offence. It is that simple.

He should go and burn Alamesiegha who stole their billions first.

I am sure the present government will sort them out peacefully.

@Mamajama

Keep up with reasonable comment jare
Re: Do You Think Mujahid Dokubo-asari Should Be Release? by debosky(m): 9:39pm On Jun 07, 2007
@ militia, my comment was directed at mamajama, not you wink

AK I hear you, but the truth is that a lot of these offences/problems emanate at the federal level and the central govt can do a lot to reduce these tensions. I am not saying a blanket amnesty or fortgiveness for all violence, but that a truce should be called now and peace made, after that anyone else committing these offences should be tried and jailed, but a truce is definitely needed.

the second thing is this: is it only Alams that stole money? many other pple in the fed govt stole money, but didnt get prosecuted. let the rule of law apply to all and not just to a specific group. Alams should be punished, but also other corrupt people so that the action is not perceived as directed only at ND folk.

Which kind of ye ye negiotiation with a terrorist group. They should have a national dialogue not with traditional rulers, not with terrorist leaders, but with the governors and patriotic nigerians from that region that have an organization with peace as their vision. Anything else should be considered unpatriotic, unconstitutional, a threat to national security, and whatever they can label it. They should be given ultimatum and if they bullsh*t the meeting then the government should shut down the oil companies there and wage an all out war on those badst*rds trying to undermine the nation. Enough is enough for some crooks in that part of the nation and those using the opportunity to cause havoc. And NO  Yar adua shouldn't release Dokunbo and shouldn't try him yet until he tells where the weapons are coming from, where their hideouts are, and anything to ease security crackdown; anything short of that should be considered as an act of undermining national security. They should even go some steps further outlawing and arresting all the traditional rulers in Nigeria (eventhough some backward type of people will object) but at least in that part of town because they are very instrumental in all of these unrest we keep hearing.

Nigeria is a country and one day probably in the 2060s Africa will start being a country with the exception of north africa. Anybody that doesn't think nigeria is a country should go to north africa for us(the remaining ones) to have space.
