PLEASE THIS IS AN OUT CRY ON BEHALF OF NIGERIANS WHO TOOK LOANS FROM BANKS AND ARE STRUGGLING IN THIS TIME OF COVID -19.

THERE IS NO SYMPATHY FROM OUR BANKS HERE.

WHEN OTHER COUNTRIES ARE DONATING TO SUPPORT THEIR CITIZENS. OUR BANKS ARE RELENTLESSLY TAKING BACK THE LITTLE CASH IN OUR ACCOUNT, WHICH WE NEED TO SURVIVE THIS CRISIS.

MAY GOD HELP US.

what kind of thread is this exactly? what do you mean by taking the little cash in your account and then again you go to say those who took loans? did the govt put restrictions on banking activities? why dont you call your bank and talk to them and make some other form of arrangements with them if you are owing them and have to pay back at this period. As you are looking at your side, look at their own side too.

Mr man you're talking rubbish!

For your info the banks will pay full salaries to their staff who have been on forced holidays, they will incur rent for the period they were closed, they will pay internet subscription fees and run their generators to keep their ATMs up and running so you can withdraw cash during the lockdown...

Where do you expect the money to pay for all these to come from?!

How many banks in other countries have waived interest completely?

The best a bank can do for debtors now is to give a discount on some interest charge but outright cancellation of interest for all customers is almost impossible except the bank wants put its own survival at risk!
