A customer of mine transferred money to a wrong account , the mistake itself originated from me , it has been 24 hours since the error and GTB is not responsive , is there any way to go about it quickly , we have messaged GTBANK and still no reply , The mistake of the transfer originated from me , 2 digits were mixed up and the fund was transferred to another zenith bank account instead of mine , I have messaged them across platforms but still no reply , Zenith Bank reffered me to them (they were quite quick in their reply) . Any help in quickly contacting GTBANK ?

Call their customer care. GTB have been very slow in replying mails and their WhatsApp messages since this virus isshh started

Normally, after verifying that the transfer was from you and wrong, they'll place a lien on that account and let you know what's next

In this era of hardship, i pray the person that received the funds has the fear of God

I used it last weekend. They will definitely refer you to the self service, but you'll have to select the option where you want to speak to a customer care agent

It's late already. Maybe you should try tomorrow

Better still, quote them on IG and Twitter.

Then tomorrow, you can make that call

First thing I did was check if it were GTB to GTB. Always easier when it is within same bank.

Yes, there is hope- subject to availability of funds in recipient’s account.

1- Sender should contact GTBank for a recall.

2- Sender should serve Zenith a court order for reversal of funds.

3- Sender can contact the wrong beneficiary to refund (if his name is nwa chineke).

GTConnect should be the fastest way to reach them. However, they are on lockdown. He has to self-service... No pun intended.

When you gave the customer the account number, didn't you put account name as well?
