One of the continent’s telecommunication giant, MTN has given all its customers 300 free SMS to send to all networks in a bid to ensure constant communication between people in the midst of a global crisis, Covid-19.

The telecommunication giant made this known via text messages and on its social media pages earlier today, to the surprise of many.

According to the management, the SMS will be 10 per day for the next thirty days which sum up to 300 free sms.

It would be recalled that days ago, customers, especially the youth on social media pages called out some network providers which MTN was included, to cut down the prices of their data and also increase the quantity of their subscription due to Covid-19.

It seems this new development is the response to that outcry but one can’t categorically say if the youth, the largest consumers of data, will be happy with the recent development.

However, this move is a very commendable one as it portrays MTN as one of the telecommunication giant that has the people at heart.
MTN, through its foundation, has also helped several people, given hope to the hopeless and rendered help to the helpless.
