Learnt Dutch are multilingual but it does not change things.

In California, there's a massive Spanish speaking population. Does that mean you can be successful just knowing how to speak only Spanish and not English.? You probably can but it will be limited. Knowing English will get you very far.

There's still a preference for Dutch. I'm sure office work is conducted in Dutch for instance. Official letters will be in Dutch etc.

So, even if you can go far with English, you'll do much better having a good command of English.

1) I left the USA officially in February 2019, though I visited shortly in May but quickly came back home after a week.

2) Torrance is still a gang infested city. It actually has a police anti gang force for a reason.

3) Even in Compton rent went high. It’s universal across the entire California. Even Lake Perris became near unaffordable.

I’m not chastising the city. I brought up the fact that crime exists anywhere.

I’m begging you, please don’t attempt to lecture me on SoCal.

No, Nigeria is bigger than California.

San Diego to Sacramento which may be used to measure the state may actually take up to 8hrs without traffic. With traffic in between San Diego and LA, a driver has to be prepared to have his breakfast, lunch and dinner on road.
