A nairalnder made this post earlier but the picture or I dont believe it crew overwhelmed the post, I later ran across the post on Facebook anyway, I had not verified the incident myself though.

The Nigerian Police is a microcosm of the Nigeria state. Like Nigeria, their problems conflate different social, political, economic,and psychological factors. They are a very undisciplined, illy trained, and poorly educated group. Arming such a group is extremely dangerous and the result is what we see everyday on the news. Perhaps extreme, but a complete overhaul of the force is one option that should be considered. But who would consider the option? The equally grossly incompetent group in government? Nigeria is just in a vicious circle, sadly.  |
