Pastor Charles Hamilton Jr. of King James Bible Baptist Church in Greenville, MS was about to have his drive in Thursday Bible study when the police came around, and surrounded the church property.

There were more than 20 police officers that came to the property. He preached the message, and he was never arrest unlike other Pastor in the same city that had the same Drive in service, and the police issued $500 ticket to all the members of the church.

Thank God for man like Pastor Charles Hamilton Jr. who stands and preaches the Word of God without compromising. Don't you wish you have someone like this as your pastor.

Let's share this message every for people to see what this Godly man of God is doing. He respected the law by maintaining social distancing with all his members.

Disobedience to authority is what drove man out of the garden of Eden. The Pastor and his members are acting in irrational disobedience .

By their actions they are aiding the spread of the disease and contributing to the ultimate death of other human beings. Which is so unchristlike

God could have killed Herod but instead instructed Joseph and Mary take Jesus the Son of God into Egypt for safety reasons.

Let them stay at home. If he was my Pastor, I would have condemn his foolishness.

Following social distancing is disobedience? When people stayed in their cars without coming, and the windows are not even down and you called that disobedience. Drive In service was never ban in their state yet until the first preacher was arrested.

You need to get your facts straight before saying what is not true.

WHY DON'T HE PROVE HIS WORTH BY GOING OVER TO CONVERT ANY OF THE ISWAP, ISIL, BOKO HARAM, OR ANY OF THOSE FOLKS WHO TRULY NEED JESUS IN THEIR LIVES?

Disobedience to authority was what made the early church spread the gospel
Disobedience to authority translated the bible into English and common man language

Sir,
You are wrong with all due respect.
He didn't break any law at all.
His particular state has specific guidelines (2 to be exact) as to how religious services can be conducted.
He had chosen one of the choices.
Exactly what he and his congregation are doing is within the law.
Had he broken it, then he would've surely been fined and/or jailed.
The police were there to make sure they were properly following the law.
In the U.S., religious freedom is still granted and respected. I'm quite sure that is a somewhat small city in Mississippi. I can guarantee that there were even more churches following the law the same way he was.
You might want to look up his particular state and read the guidelines....
I commend that pastor and the few members who also participated...with rational obedience to the law and honoring the Lord.
As much as you would like, everyone is not living in fear, hysteria and hiding.
Some people are passionate about "who" and/or "what" they believe.
What he did was very Christ-like and faithful as much as possible to God the Father.

The story says each member on the premises was fined $500 for misdemeanor. And I hope you know that the job of police is law enforcement.

.

Good morning sir,
Yes, as a U.S. born, raised and still living citizen, who has tried to follow the rules of my country/state my entire adult life nor has ever been jailed in my life, I do very well understand the role of law enforcement in my country.

I went to do research on your statement and here is what I found.

Mississippi church sues police after congregants ticketed during drive-in service

A Mississippi church is suing the city of Greenville after police shut down its drive-in service this week in accordance with a city ban on the practice amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Attorneys with the Alliance Defending Freedom filed the lawsuit Friday on behalf of the Temple Baptist Church. The filing challenges Greenville Mayor Errick Simmons' April 7 executive order that prohibits drive-in church services until a statewide shelter-in-place order is lifted.

The suit comes after eight uniformed Greenville police officers reportedly issued $500 tickets to congregants who refused to leave a parking lot where a drive-in service was being conducted Wednesday, the ADF said in a statement announcing the legal challenge.

The group contends that church congregants stayed in their cars with their windows rolled up while listening to Pastor Arthur Scott preach from inside the empty Go Church building.

“Government is clearly overstepping its authority when it singles out churches for punishment, especially in a ridiculous fashion like this,” said ADF senior counsel Ryan Tucker, director of the ADF Center for Christian Ministries. “In Greenville, you can be in your car at a drive-in restaurant, but you can’t be in your car at a drive-in church service. That’s not only nonsensical, it’s unconstitutional, too.”

The Greenville Police Department and Simmons' office did not immediately return calls from Fox News for comment Friday.

The church has been conducting the services for the past three weeks in accordance with social distancing rules, the ADF said. Simmons' ban orders church buildings closed for in-person and drive-in services.

Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves, a Republican, makes no such mention in his shelter-in-place order. Simmons met with local religious leaders Thursday to discuss the ban and most agreed with his executive order, the city posted on its Facebook account.

The church, sir, mentioned by this Op is called, "King James Bible Church". The pastor's name, in the above video is Charles Hamilton Jr., and he clearly is preaching "outside".

So, unless we have fictitious church names and pastor names, this involves (2) different churches in the same city, if I'm not mistaken.
One pastor and his congregants were fined.
The other group was not....the church featured in this Op.
Clearly he was NOT fined or shutdown....which means he was following the governor of Mississippi, Tate Reeves' mandate.

Mississipi has a "Shelter-in-Place" mandate by the governor....with exceptions to essential businesses, group gatherings, restaurant dining etc.
Greenville, Mississipi's mayor, Errick Simmons, has added to the governor's order it seems.
There is where some confusion, it seems has occurred.
The question is the issue of the "drive-in" church gathering and social distancing thing and whether a mayor's order can override the governor's order.
There is, however, a case here (either way it goes) and it will be sorted out through the courts.

There is a spiritual significance here as prophecy has predicted. So no surprise to me.

What I think happened, otipoju, is you got two stories confused based on how the Op was written. I understood it clearly though.
This church had police present (even perhaps as an intimidation technique), BUT was NOT fined.
I think it's important NOT to confuse "opinion" with "facts".
Take care..be blessed.
