Many times people face this condition known as sleeping paralysis.

You are not so deeply asleep but you feel that someone is pressing you down or sitting on your chest. Some people's sleeping paralysis go as far as seeing a dark figure in the room.

This is not a spiritual attack, it is your BRAIN forgetting to switch your muscles back on, hence you find it difficult to move and you assume someone is pressing you down.

When we sleep, the brain ensures that when we are sleeping we do not end up strangling ourselves to death, or our bed mate when having a bad dream. Sometimes, when you have a very terrible dream, or a dream where you see yourself fighting, if the brain does not deactivate your muscles, you might be kicking your brother or spouse sleeping beside you without you knowing. That is why the brain paralyses our body temporarily when we sleep to avoid causing harm when we are deeply asleep during a bad dream.

Many people have attributed this condition to spiritual attack, well, it is good to pray about everything but let us be wise. This condition has affected almost all Nigerians once or twice, tell me, is it all Nigerians that have been attacked spiritually? Wisdom is what we need.

Now, the reason you see a dark figure in the room when this condition happens is because your brain while forgetting to switch your muscles back on, is also confused as to what exactly is happening. In order to justify the event happening before itself, the brain comes up with an illusion image of someone in order to make meaningful sense of its own confusion. What I mean is this " let us assume your child has broken a glass cup and he or she does not want you to know that he/she broke it, she now gave you a story of how the cat in the house broke the glass " even though the story is a lie, you will believe it, that is exactly what the brain does in this situation it brings up a dark figure to justify why you couldn't move in order to keep its own secret.

And the brain does not know whose face to use , that is why the figure you see is always dark and faceless.

Sleeping paralysis is often caused by Tiredness, stress and poor nutrition.

it is not a spiritual attack, it is a brain condition that is not actually a threat to your life.
