Creating content for service based business can be tricky seeing that they do not have physical products like product based businesses. One of the most important things to note is that graphics and captions should be complementary and captivating and work towards strengthening the brand.

These are 5 tips for creating content for service based business :

A. Add value and showcase your expertise. Including branded graphics as part of your Instagram content strategy is always a winner. These graphics may include little takeaway tips or pieces of advice, inspirational quotes, examples of downloadables or other freebies, or even client testimonials. Set up a simple template in your graphics program of choice, stick with your brand colors and fonts, and design a few different options, so you have some variety.

B. Let them get to know the face behind the business. Selling a service is different than selling a product because your clients are going to be working directly with you, so using social media as a way to forge a relationship and build trust, while giving them a peek at what it’s going to look like to work with you. You’re humanizing your brand showing them the face behind the business, who they’ll be exchanging emails with, hopping on Skype chats with, or eventually meeting in person. Write your captions in the same way that you talk, and at least every now and then, show your pretty face in your feed.

C. Share the lifestyle aspect of your brand. Your Instagram content should show off the lifestyle aspect of your brand, forming a connection with your audience and giving them a sense of how working with you will fit in with their current lifestyle or help them achieve the life they want to be living.

D. Show your work. Your Instagram feed is a mini portfolio to show off your work. People should be able to get a pretty good glimpse at the type of work you do with a quick glance at your Instagram feed. So if your service involves some sort of finished product that you’re able to capture in a photo, make sure you do just that.
Use the gallery display option on Instagram to showcase the before and after shot of a transformation you helped someone achieve.

E. Give a behind the scenes peek at your process. Now that you’ve already shown your followers who they’re working with and why they should work with you, it’s time to show your audience what that will actually look like. Provide a way for potential clients to see themselves as part of your process. Break down your processes and let potential clients see you at work.

With these tips, you would build be able to create content for your service based business without much stress.
