I wouldn’t be writing on this issue of “WhatsApp Two-Step Verification” if it hadn’t been for my recent experience with it.
I previously had a phone (Samsung A6+) which I used for WhatsApp messaging and other social media platforms as such I explored every usage of the app not taking cognizant of the implications and the very reluctant part of me didn’t bother to note every single password I was playing around with.

So, in the long run my phone crashed and boom! Nemesis caught up with me (don’t just try to imagine how I felt or what I passed through. Hey! And don’t laugh). Being normal me, I got a substitute for my damaged phone. And then… It was time to activate my WhatsApp messenger in order to retrieve previous messages and also continue leftover conversations. But lo and behold I was incapacitated by a pop-up message which displayed “enter your two-step verification password”.
Oh yes! I was damn speechless and helpless as I had forgotten my Two-step verification password.

Now, what is WhatsApp two-step verification?

According to WhatsApp inc. Two-step verification is an optional feature that adds more security to your account. When youhave two-step verification enabled, any attempt to verify your phone number onWhatsApp must be accompanied by the six-digit PIN that you created using thisfeature.
In a simpler term; WhatsApp Two-step verification is a six-digit password used in securing your WhatsApp account from external manipulation. It is also called Two Factor Authentication which is a security measure that makes your accounts such as your Facebook account, or your G-mail account more secure, that means the security of your account is extremely high.
