I had a misunderstanding with my girlfriend that i have been dating for abt 2yrs now. She accused me of cheating on her just because her friend told her she saw me paying for the meal of a lady i met at the restaurant last sunday. The lady in question was my coursemate during my uni days and it's been a while since i saw her last. i think close to 4years now so we were both excited when we saw each other at the restaurant and i offered to pay for her meal. When my babe confronted me with the allegation, i explained myself to her and concluded with dis statement "i didn't mean to hurt your feelings" and her reply was "U're too small to hurt my feelings". i was shocked but i acted kul. I love her but i hate insults most especially when it has to do with my personality. Should i break up with her? pls I need your candid advice. thank you. |

Ok let me tell you something, get a paper and pen, outline what you like and dislike about your girlfriend and then weigh your options and take your decision. Well, to get over the issue, have a discussion with her about that statement. Ask that she explains what she meant by the words and let her know you felt deeply insulted. If she apologizes, good, you guys can start mending the broken fences in your relationship, and u should also stop going about paying for girls food under the guise of it's been long you saw her and bla bla...cos I don't know if you would do same if it were a guy. If the girl doesn't apologize and still claims right, just implement social distance and ghost her and go work on your and make money to avoid unnecessary insults from them female folks |

My Advice Take her out to a very posh place for dinner. Throw jokes, make her very comfortable. After eating, while sipping your wine. Tell her that you have done alot of thinking about the relationship and couldnt see where it is heading. lLook at her straight in the eyes and Tell her , without flinching that you are calling it quits. wish her well in her future endeavours. Then pay for ur meal( urs), giv the waitress d change as tips ( since she's mad at u bcz u paid for another girls meal) and roll out( go home).... But Next time, u dont need ro explain why u paid for another girls meal....once she asks, just walk out, take ur bath and off to bed...she'll wake up d next morning with words like " i didnt mean it that way"....
