hey guy, your 10MB from MTN isnt a fraud. you actually connected your 3G phone to a laptop and was browsing right? well the 10MB is for browsing on the phone and not meant for the laptop. so what happened was that the bigger the screen of your laptop/phone, the more kilobytes it will consume. so a 10MB that should last for some hours on the phone, would actually not last 5minues using a laptop/desktop.

How could you have misapplied a service and come complaining? Were you not told the 10Mb is for phones?

it depend on what you do with it. i have used that same 10 MB for like an hour on laptop b4. the sites i opened where not that MB consuming. for example , i learnt not to use it for newsnow.co.uk because any news item you click pops up another explorer , not tab. and that alone can chop more than 5 MB at once. so know what you do with it to enjoy it.

But seriously , I don't think you get the full 10MB . Experienced this 'rip off' myself when they just started but I wrote it off as beginner's glitch. I also connected to a computer then , couldn't even send 3 mails successfully. When I checked my data usage, it was just above 6MB .luckily , I used my phone as modem, so I was able to verify my pc data counter's figure with my phone's . Just shook my head and said ' mtn did it again.'

The 10Mb stuff is very real. I've used it several times without any mishap. In fact, it exceeded my expectation. If u wanna use it for laptop browsing, i'll recommend the ffg.
1. Use opera browser and disable images.
2. Disable automatic updates esp windows n antivirus
3. Be conservative
