IS RACISM AGAINST BLACKS BECAUSE THE WORLD THINKS AFRICA IS A LOST CONTINENT?

If you go through Asian, American, Canadian and European social media comments relating to Africa you'll see that many of those people see Africans as losers and unable to progress. Or if there is progress it is only with the help of foreigners.

We have only ourselves to blame for our reputation. It's why we have no respect so face a lot of racism.

Those Nigerians and Africans who flee abroad for the money there and for an easier life are not helping matters. They will keep on facing racism there because nobody respects those who run away leaving their house untidy and messed up. I have seen comments saying Africans should return home to join their countrymen to fix their countries, rather than hang about in Europe. We know that is good talk.
Africans are just pretending to be useful abroad when your messed up house needs you. How you will explain yourself to God on Judgement Day I do not know. Rather than use your talents to fix your home, you run away to keep tidy the already tidy home of another man? Anyway, let me leave that one.

Below is a screenshot from an Oyeebo man who says Africa is a LOST continent and that he knows since he worked in Africa.

He also said Africans don't care. He must have seen the great SELFISHNESS in us that cannot be hidden. Look at us with this Coro. At least it costs no money to keep social distance, but we don't care to do it. Not even for the sake of our children whose lives we are playing with.

Since when did "OPINION" amount to "RACISM"?

Please my friend. Bring forth a solution to the reality of racism. That is what we need.

There is no solution to racism.
Even if there is one, why should Africans care?

Look around your environment, is racism the major problems facing the people?

Africa is a lost continent, agreed. But can they focus on Southern America? Where The rate of rich is far from the rate of poor. There is no middle class in most South America countries, Is either you're rich or you're poor. The social class is very unequal.

Good post. But the profound solution to stop racism is developing Africa. If Africa becomes like china, I bet you they won't look down on us. Is because Africa keeps regressing into underdevelopment hence why the whites look Down on us as inferior. Africa needs to fix their continent and stay at home. Then at least, we'll be accorded some respect.

Most of us know what the problem is but too lazy to lift a finger. Most blame their problems on the same leaders they create and encourage.

Looking for the same ways to get to be leaders so that they can loot.

Even worse are those that project their inferiority complex and lack of progress at home on others only to praise low lives cerelibrities they worship.

They worship foreign tastes, countries, visas and pray to foreigners to deliver them from themselves.

And you expect them to respect you?

Make God bless those that shun everything, those that returned home, those that work hard without rewards or celebrations. As they move Africans forward, losers move us backwards.

Most people seem to point their fingers toward white people when talking about racism and racists. We seem not to realise that in the real sense, white people are much fairer to us than our fellow black people are...

This brings me to the understanding that there is actual racism in Nigeria: but we don't see it as racism because we classify the behaviours into a wrong category, "tribalism".

For example, some Yoruba families often would not let their daughters get into marriages with Igbo men, most Igbo families would not encourage an inter-marriage with the Hausas, most Hausa families would often not accept inter-marriages with either Yorubas or Igbos, and the same applies with the minorities in Nigeria...

Even within the Igbos, there is this intense degree of tribal prejudice: for example, an Anambra man disregards an Owerri woman and might not want anything serious with her: worse still, there is this barbaric cultural practice (amongst the Igbos) that distinguishes and discriminates some certain people known as Osu in isolated margin...

Many people are also refused or denied social opportunities for reason of their races or backgrounds, but we don't seem to mind these developments, we only accuse white people of racism when we're refused or denied some benefits...

Hypocrisy!

It is simple, Africans should stop worshipping the whites, reduce the patronage for foreign products eg movies, clothes, religion, cars, music, food etc. Stop selling our conscience for mere N5,000 during elections.
Once the followers resist some of these things, things will begin to change. God will not come down to help us neither will our leaders would solve the menace.

Africa should develop for its own sake and not for external validation.

Almost everyone who discusses the development in Africa always references respect
which is irrelevant to most people.

Self-esteem and confidence should always come from within.

OK that too. But until then Africa will keep being regarded as "Third world". I was talking to somebody one day, I was asking him what will our politicians loose if they fix Nigeria? The same road we all drive on. The same electricity we use.. What will happen to them if they fix this damn country for our own benefit?

The answer to the bold is probably a lot of money.

Your submission presupposes that the average politician actually knows what they are
doing aside sharing money, hiring thugs and buying voters.
What many are doing now is window dressing and snapping pictures.

We need a 30 years development masterplan and not some patchwork being currently executed.
But the first step is to get rid of the unqualified politicians

Do you propose a one term 5year presidential ticket or 4years with two tenure? Which do you think will help more and which do you think is a big waste of time?
