Akhenaten:

It is interesting how Efik culture was able to spread amongst the Eastern Igbo communities. This shows how our ancestors mingled with neighboring groups in incorporated aspects of other cultures into our own beliefs.

Maybe you are unaware that Efik originated from Arochukwu.Visit Calabar museum or read their history.

Efik did not originate from Arochukwu, the Aro people dislodged them from a portion of their territory. Read their history as well.

We need not argue about it but pay a visit to Calabar museum and read up their history. That they were displaced might be a later addition but it was clearly stated that the Aro were mix of Ejagham and Igbo while some of them migrated southwards via Aba to found many Efik and Igbo settlements.Until this day some Efik people distinguish themselves as Aros.
