My stepbrother's girlfriend is having issues with him because she just found out his mother attends a white garment church and has been married 5 times, had 4 children for 4 different men and is a second wife to her 5th husband,.
My question now is, is the lady overreacting or should his mothers life style affect their relationship?

Cele people have a different set of rules that guide their conducts from the bible....if her bf isn't cele and isn't so influenced by this mother, no issues.

There seems to be quite some dysfunction going on in all of that. Why did he feel the need for another wife? Did he adopt the kids she had for those other four men?

But It’s left for you and your step brother to make sure not to not be like your parents. Sometimes who you are is enough to make the person you’re getting involved with to overlook your background. If you’re enough, that will be enough for them. Just do your best. And encourage him to be the best version of himself too.

No, dear my dad isn't a polygamist, his mum left my dad to marry the other husbands before my dad met and married my mum, my parents have been living peacefully as man and wife for over 25 years, the same reservations don't apply to us. Thanks
