U found a sick bird in the wild, probably sick with one avian virus or the other and u brought it home and u're probably handling it with bare hands oo. Pls OP don't start another zoonosis. D one we are battling with is so much more than enough. Pls let d poor thing back into the wild.

It's a hornbill....it looks like a juvenile. Probably still learning how to fly.

The photos you posted look like you don't worry much about the comfort of the bird. Listen to your dad and give it to someone who has the patience and gentility to take care of it.

Don't let it die just like that cause it will surely die, since it seems u are in the jungle, look for where there are crocks and throw it in, at least let it serve as food for them

If you are in Lagos call Animal conservation centers .Or you can take it to Lekki conversation center.If In Ibadan call, the zoo care takers they will come and collect it from you.
Try and contact any animal care homes in ur state.Do not allow that animal to die.
