How about providing her with good scents like spraying perfume on handkerchief, sweet smell of pastries and flowers? Etc etc.

If she's exposed to both types of scent her brain will by default prefer the good smell and with time she'll abhor the nasty stink she's having a liking for now.

Where did she grew up? I mean the environment she lived in first 2 years? Was there a poultry or a dung hill in the environment?

I am saying this because whatever smell your baby grow to know as pleasant determines what she would grow to like..

Like when I was a little child one of our neighbors had a bike so whenever the guy starts the bike I always run to inhale the smoke which I called perfume and I loved it...

The good news is that I outgrew it

There was this boy in my school then...Tobi...he was often caught eating excreta(shit)...he didn't last a year in the school before his parents withdrew him. This was a secondary school

ts a childish habit that should have been corrected before she turned 4 but the parents prolly overlooked it. Now it may be a bit difficult to correct as she's gotten addicted to it. There's still room for correction but with strict measures like a little spanking or smirking anytime she does it again before she disgraces the parents in public or worst still progress to testing poo.

At 4 what does a child know? Scold, warn, punish(withdraw some benefits), tell fairy tales, till things change.

My nephew used to chew his nails real deep till I spent just a weekend at my Sister's and it got nipped in the bud. You need to fix this shit now.

There's no smoke without fire....maybe in the course of growing, her parents had vandalised the little girl's olfactory lobe with aggressive and unabated passage of flatulence thinking she's too young to understand to the extent it had imprinted on her.

It could be a mere bad habit which would naturally fade away by your efforts of restricting her by anyway you deem suitable.

However I'll like you to check for what is called

AUTISTIC SPECTRUM DISORDER
