During the swearing-in of the new Head of Service (HOS), Anthony Okungbowa Esq., I reiterated the critical role of the civil service in reforming Edo state .

If we ever imagined that the public service was not important in our affairs , COVID19 has shown that without the instrument of state to mobilize and harness the talents and skill of the workforce to direct public behavior and reaction , no society can thrive .

Anthony Okungbowa Esq is coming at a time when we have taken steps and actions in reforming our public service . I have no doubt in his capacity, experience and preparation to cope with the challenges ahead . He said
