Is it right for a couple to share their matrimonial bed with some relative?
Take for example, the husband or wife's family member visits and they leave their bedroom for this person.

I personally see it as a wrong move though. However, your contribution will be appreciated. Thanks.

If there's no other bed or bedroom available, then your visitor must be made as comfortable as possible. So they should be in the bedroom...Afterall they are spending a little time not like they staying forever......You sef check am, how you go feelnin future if you go your liking house and he put you into mat for living room or balcony

Haven't u seen some relatives overstaying their welcome? You will end up chasing them away by force, after causing avoidable havoc in your home. It's hell no for me o. I don't want unnecessary headache.

Is it not insensitive to go stay over with a couple that are managing themselves in a small space? It is irrational to think one is entitled to sleep on a couple's matrimonial bed, the person no get shame.

Boundaries must be respected!

It is totally wrong in my opinion it should be out of bounds to everybody except your kids only when necessary. Comfortable indeed even if it's my parents, they wouldn't even want to stay in my matrimonial bedroom in the first place.
I read some story few minutes about a married woman chased from her home. That's complete Bullocks

Allow a visitor to sleep on your matrimonial bed while you and your wife sleep on a mat? Haba, respect your marriage!

There no such thing, where ever you lay at anytime with your spouse is your matrimonial bed
Re: Is It Right For A Couple To Share Their Matrimonial Bed With Relatives? by Raphael25(m): 2:38pm On May 07, 2020
Except father and mother in-laws from both sides. Every other person so far neither of the couple have travelled, it's a no for me. Infact as per space issue don't visit and if you be prepared to use the living room. Ok my relative coming for business and stays for 3months you expect me to make love to my wife in the living room and on the floor?? grin grin

Will not even share it with the husband not to talk of with relatives.

Nothing like matrimonial bed after 5 years of marriage.

Strictly by invitation ONLY! cool

its taboo my friend

A married couple's bed is shrine that no one should sleep on period, if one can not respect were one sleeps and shag with his his wife/her husband then
you have no respect for married couple

A married couple's sex is sacred thing to them and it happens on that bed in that room, no any other person should sleep in that bed unless a very unusual circumstances

Black Africans we like visiting without thinking of sleeping arrangements

Ideally, visitors should not even plan to sleep in the home of a couple that cannot afford a spare bed.

The couple (especially husband) should also give enough respect to their matrimonial bed/room not to offer it to visitors unless during an emergency.

I wouldn't like to sleep on their matrimonial bed too so I don't even mind sleeping on the mat.

From the custom of where I come from, such may only happen when the woman puts to bed and the mother comes to take care of her and the baby.... And I think it's for a limited time. That being said, its not obligated for the man to vacate his room no matter what. Tho sometimes he will not mind as the baby will be up most of the time at night and he will prefer his peaceful sleep on the couch.

It's an abomination. You need to respect your marriage. Even if you stay in a room and parlour, you can get a mattress which your visitors can sleep on in the parlour while you and your spouse sleep in the room. Let your visitors know about the arrangement before coming.

would you sleep in your parents bed ? am sure your answer is NO

the same reason you wouldnt sleep on that bed is the same reason father/mum -in-law wouldnt be able to sleep in your own bed you share with your wife
