Not in all cases. I was opportuned to be part of the team that interviewed a lady and she failed 2,4,5 but still got the job.

Found out that her dad was well connected.

Now a days, most interviews are just formalities.

If you get employed, Good for you and if you don't it's also good for you (cos it gives you time to be innovative)

More truth has never been said in a few words.
Jobs simply tie you down and greatly stalls your journey to financial freedom. Especially the jobs with insanely low pay.

I quit my job twice to and am happy with what I could make out of myself without anyone bossing me around and not paying well enough for it.

If your job pays less than 80k and doesn't give you space for other side hustle, pls leave that job.

Most time you're not actually given a job,. You're given to a job.

Never been prepared for one and never will. Nigerians like job too much.

I like this mindset, each interviews gets me angry, working on side jobs so I can say f**k off to recruiters one day, keep up the good work sir.

Crap! Seen the movie "Ted"? Nigga didn't give a Bleep when he went in for that interview, the boss even said it, that nobody had ever talked that way to him. Immediately he said you're hired... Ted said "**ck"... Leave all this straight forward this and that, no be do or die... Go in with that attitude (not saying u shldnt dress appropriately or know a little bout d job u applied for or d company tho).

My friend got a job with Nestle some yrs ago based on a seemingly crazy reply to a question they asked him, the panel all LOL and said they needed guys like him.

Times have changed yo!

I just hate job with passion no matter the pay. I even get angry when I hear people use the word "job, tribe, and work."

Just like this thread, I read the title only and got angry — I couldn't read the content. Lol. Job is not for people like us. I love being the one giving people job, not me doing the job. It's all about mindset and what we want in life.

Most Nigerians are all about go to school, get good grades, get a job, get a wife, and born as many as your salary can't handle (so that the poverty cycle in Africa, especially in Nigerian, will continue).

We're very much alike in this aspect. I have grown to hate jobs and the bondage that comes with it.

But sometimes you have to sacrifice your natural preference / likes & dislikes and do the job in order to build a base that will set you up for the future. If we all did what we liked, many won't be where they are today. Life is give and take.

I'm not against job, but I don't like it for "myself."

Some people can like job for survival, but those who focus on wealth, not riches, hate it. A weak mindset focuses on survival while a strong mindset focuses on making an impact for people to survive.

On the process of making an impact, the strong mindset person builds wealth. On the other hand, on the process of surviving, for a weak mindset person, he makes an impact while working under the strong mindset person.

In summary, he didn't really make any impact, he just made salaries to survive because the glory of that impact goes to the owner of the company, the strong mindset man who has a mission to make an impact by using weak mindset people to get to the top just the same way Thomas Edison does.

It all depends on what you want. Wealth (steady income with less stress) or riches (intervallic income with lots of stress, hard work, depression, and time).

If it's riches, job is all you need. If it's wealth, then creating job for others to work is where you belong.

So, what I'm saying is: job is not bad for them, but bad for me and every other person who thinks like me.

I'm not saying we shouldn't sacrifice to lay the foundation for growth. But if you must do what you detest, do the one that comes with a satisfactory reward.

It's better to find one sweet spot and cook indomie and egg every morning and evening and have all afternoon for other hustle, than get saddled by one energy-draining, hope sapping, very high work hour, low paying job that pays you 50k with no time left for other things.

We must all work. But not inform of the modern-day slavery called a job.

Try working for yourself. Give it like 4 serious months, and you would never want to take up a job again. Unless the pay is in millions.

The freedom and control of your own life that comes with it is almost priceless.

I like your response, you have done justice to the question asked so for ppl that have mindset of creating wealth for others to benefit, what are the factors that must be in place for those set of people to be attained their aim.

That was exactly my point. I know people who earn big figures though they don't enjoy the work, but they endure it because they have an exit plan and know the income from it will help fund future investments and business ideas.

When they ask you to tell them about yourself they want to know

- Your age
- Your educational qualifications
- Awards/honours in school
- Projects you have done that relate to the role (in school if you are a fresh grad)
- Job experience and how it relates to the role
- it also helps to give 3 key character qualities that make you the right candidate (with examples and don't lie)

If you give this kind of intro you have already set yourself apart from the rest.

Truth is for fresh graduates its during school that you build your selling point with the activities and projects you take part in. If someone didn't do much then honestly their introduction May not carry much weight.

Yes, all these signs indicate that you are not prepared for an interview and did not take your employer seriously, which means you will not be serious about work.

If you decide to have an online interview, this should only positively reflect on you, because you will be at your usual stop and not be nervous, you just have to create a good environment for video communication and get ready.
